以色列年邁、目昏無見、約瑟攜子進前、乃吻而抱之、

維時、守宅者必戰慄、有力者必傴僂、旋磨者稀而止、窺牖者昏而暗、

我之年數、乃為七旬、如其強健、可至八旬、然其所誇、祇為憂苦、其逝迅速、我去如飛兮、

耶羅波安謂妻曰、爾起改裝、免人知爾為耶羅波安妻、往於示羅、在彼有先知亞希雅、即昔告我必為斯民之王者、

摩西卒時、年百有二十、其目未眊、其力未衰、

民歸營時、以色列長老曰、耶和華今日何擊我於非利士人前、當舁耶和華約匱、自示羅至此、援我於敵手、於是民遣人詣示羅、舁居基路伯間、萬軍之耶和華約匱而至、以利二子、何弗尼非尼哈、與約匱偕、

可往示羅、昔我寄名之所、視我為我民以色列邪惡、所行之事、耶和華曰、爾既行此、我屢戒爾、夙興與言、惟爾弗聽、我呼爾而弗應、故我於我寄名之室、爾所恃者、及我錫爾列祖與爾之地、必有所為、如昔在示羅然、
