耶羅波安為邱壇、為鬼魔、為自己所鑄造的牛犢設立祭司。

你們不是驅逐耶和華的祭司亞倫的後裔和利未人嗎？不是照着外邦人的惡俗為自己立祭司嗎？無論何人牽一隻公牛犢、七隻公綿羊將自己分別出來，就可作虛無之神的祭司。

只是作惡的和迷惑人的，必越久越惡，他欺哄人，也被人欺哄。

帳幕將往前行的時候，利未人要拆卸；將支搭的時候，利未人要豎起。近前來的外人必被治死。

他殺他們的時候，他們才求問他，回心轉意，切切地尋求神。

耶羅波安在邱壇那裏建殿，將那不屬利未人的凡民立為祭司。耶羅波安定八月十五日為節期，像在猶大的節期一樣，自己上壇獻祭。他在伯特利也這樣向他所鑄的牛犢獻祭，又將立為邱壇的祭司安置在伯特利。他在八月十五日，就是他私自所定的月日，為以色列人立作節期的日子，在伯特利上壇燒香。

米迦分派這少年的利未人作祭司，他就住在米迦的家裏。

以色列人對摩西說：「我們死啦！我們滅亡啦！都滅亡啦！凡挨近耶和華帳幕的是必死的。我們都要死亡嗎？」

要把這些給你的哥哥亞倫和他的兒子穿戴，又要膏他們，將他們分別為聖，好給我供祭司的職分。

看哪，耶和華出令，大房就被攻破，小屋就被打裂。

後來我所揀選的那人，他的杖必發芽。這樣，我必使以色列人向你們所發的怨言止息，不再達到我耳中。」

你要囑咐亞倫和他的兒子謹守自己祭司的職任。近前來的外人必被治死。」

窰匠用泥做的器皿，在他手中做壞了，他又用這泥另做別的器皿；窰匠看怎樣好，就怎樣做。
