耶罗波安为邱坛、为鬼魔、为自己所铸造的牛犊设立祭司。

你们不是驱逐耶和华的祭司亚伦的后裔和利未人吗？不是照着外邦人的恶俗为自己立祭司吗？无论何人牵一只公牛犊、七只公绵羊将自己分别出来，就可作虚无之神的祭司。

只是作恶的和迷惑人的，必越久越恶，他欺哄人，也被人欺哄。

帐幕将往前行的时候，利未人要拆卸；将支搭的时候，利未人要竖起。近前来的外人必被治死。

他杀他们的时候，他们才求问他，回心转意，切切地寻求神。

耶罗波安在邱坛那里建殿，将那不属利未人的凡民立为祭司。耶罗波安定八月十五日为节期，像在犹大的节期一样，自己上坛献祭。他在伯特利也这样向他所铸的牛犊献祭，又将立为邱坛的祭司安置在伯特利。他在八月十五日，就是他私自所定的月日，为以色列人立作节期的日子，在伯特利上坛烧香。

米迦分派这少年的利未人作祭司，他就住在米迦的家里。

以色列人对摩西说：“我们死啦！我们灭亡啦！都灭亡啦！凡挨近耶和华帐幕的是必死的。我们都要死亡吗？”

要把这些给你的哥哥亚伦和他的儿子穿戴，又要膏他们，将他们分别为圣，好给我供祭司的职分。

看哪，耶和华出令，大房就被攻破，小屋就被打裂。

后来我所拣选的那人，他的杖必发芽。这样，我必使以色列人向你们所发的怨言止息，不再达到我耳中。”

你要嘱咐亚伦和他的儿子谨守自己祭司的职任。近前来的外人必被治死。”

窑匠用泥做的器皿，在他手中做坏了，他又用这泥另做别的器皿；窑匠看怎样好，就怎样做。
