耶罗波安却为丘坛、公山羊像和他造的牛犊像设立他自己的祭司。

你们赶走了做耶和华祭司的亚伦之后裔和利未人，效法外族人的恶俗为自己设立祭司。任何人牵来一头公牛犊和七只公绵羊，就可以自封为假神的祭司。

而恶人和骗子会变本加厉地迷惑人，也被人迷惑。

在迁移的时候，利未人要负责拆卸和支搭圣幕；其他人若走近圣幕，必被处死。

直到上帝击杀他们的时候，他们才回转，诚心寻求上帝。

耶罗波安又在高岗上修建神庙，任命各样的人做祭司，他们并非利未人。耶罗波安规定每年八月十五日为节期，好像犹大的节期一样。他自己在伯特利的祭坛上向金牛犊献祭烧香，又派神庙的祭司在献祭中司职。在八月十五日，就是他私自为以色列人定为节期的日子，他在伯特利的祭坛上烧香。

这样，米迦派他做祭司，让他住在自己家里。

以色列人对摩西说：“完了！我们死定了！我们全死定了！凡走近耶和华圣幕的都要死，我们岂不是全都要灭亡吗？”

你哥哥亚伦及其众子穿上这些衣服后，你要用油膏立他们，使他们分别出来，做圣洁的祭司事奉我。

看啊，耶和华一声令下，大屋顿成瓦砾，小房化为碎片。

谁的杖发芽，谁就是我所拣选的人。这样，我必消除以色列人对你们的埋怨。”

你要指派亚伦父子们尽祭司的职分，其他人若走近圣幕，必被处死。”

每当他手中的器皿做坏了，他就用那块泥重做，想怎么做就怎么做。
