約西亞問說：「我所看見的是甚麼碑？」那城裏的人回答說：「先前有神人從猶大來，預先說王現在向伯特利壇所行的事，這就是他的墓碑。」約西亞說：「由他吧！不要挪移他的骸骨。」他們就不動他的骸骨，也不動從撒馬利亞來那先知的骸骨。

誰能數點雅各的塵土？誰能計算以色列的四分之一？我願如義人之死而死；我願如義人之終而終。

我見惡人埋葬，歸入墳墓；又見行正直事的離開聖地，在城中被人忘記。這也是虛空。

後來那討飯的死了，被天使帶去放在亞伯拉罕的懷裏。財主也死了，並且埋葬了。他在陰間受痛苦，舉目遠遠地望見亞伯拉罕，又望見拉撒路在他懷裏，

不要把我的靈魂和罪人一同除掉；不要把我的性命和流人血的一同除掉。
