By the word of the Lord a man of God came from Judah to Bethel, as Jeroboam was standing by the altar to make an offering.

A man of God went from Judah to Bethel. He had received a message from the Lord. He arrived in Bethel just as Jeroboam was standing by the altar to offer a sacrifice.

And behold, a man of God came out of Judah by the word of the Lord to Bethel. Jeroboam was standing by the altar to make offerings.

At the Lord’s command, a man of God from Judah went to Bethel, arriving there just as Jeroboam was approaching the altar to burn incense.

A man of God came, however, from Judah to Bethel by the word of the LORD while Jeroboam was standing beside the altar to burn incense.

Now behold, a man of God came from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord, while Jeroboam was standing at the altar to burn incense.

And behold, a man of God went from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord, and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of Jehovah unto Beth- el: and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

A man of God came from Judah to Bethel by a revelation from the Lord while Jeroboam was standing beside the altar to burn incense.

And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the LORD unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

Just then a prophet from Judah, sent by the LORD, arrived in Bethel, as Jeroboam was standing near the altar ready to offer a sacrifice.

Behold, a man of God came out of Judah by Yahweh’s word to Bethel; and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

耶羅波安定八月十五日為節期，像在猶大的節期一樣，自己上壇獻祭。他在伯特利這樣做，向他所鑄的牛犢獻祭，又把他所立丘壇的祭司安置在伯特利。他在八月十五日，就是他自己心中所定的月份，在伯特利上到自己所造的祭壇；他為以色列人定了一個節期，親自上壇燒香。

他說：「我看見的這碑是甚麼呢？」那城裏的人對他說：「這是神人的墳墓，他從猶大來，宣告了王向伯特利的壇所做的這些事。」

但神的話臨到神人示瑪雅，說：

我們照主的話告訴你們一件事：我們這活着還存留到主來臨的人，絕不會在那已經睡了的人之先。

萬軍之耶和華說：「從日出之地到日落之處，我的名在列國中必尊為大。在各處，人必奉我的名燒香，獻潔淨的供物，因為我的名在列國中必尊為大。

攻城的迦勒底人必來放火焚燒這城和城裏的房屋；人曾在這房頂上向巴力燒香，向別神獻澆酒祭，惹我發怒。

「從亞們的兒子猶大王約西亞十三年直到今日，在這二十三年中，常有耶和華的話臨到我；我也一再對你們傳講，只是你們不聽從。

所羅門其餘的事，自始至終，不都寫在拿單先知的書上和示羅人亞希雅的《預言書》上，以及易多先見論尼八兒子耶羅波安的《默示書》上嗎？

他們阻止烏西雅王，對他說：「烏西雅啊，給耶和華燒香不是你的事，而是亞倫子孫的事，他們是分別為聖來燒香的祭司。你出聖殿吧！因為你犯了罪，耶和華神必不使你得尊榮。」

給以色列人作紀念，為要叫亞倫子孫之外的人不得近前來，在耶和華面前燒香，免得他和可拉與同他一夥的人一樣，正如耶和華藉摩西所吩咐的。

那帶神人回來的先知聽見了，就說：「這是那違背了耶和華指示的神人，所以耶和華把他交給獅子；獅子撕裂他，咬死他，正如耶和華對他說的話。」

那時，猶大城鎮的人和耶路撒冷的居民要哀求他們燒香所供奉的神明；只是遭難的時候，這些神明一點也不能拯救他們。

有一個人是先知的門徒，遵照耶和華的話對他同伴說：「你打我吧！」那人不肯打他。

另有一位天使拿着金香爐來，站在祭壇旁邊；有許多香賜給他，要和眾聖徒的祈禱一同獻在寶座前的金壇上。

壇也破裂了，壇上的灰傾倒出來，正如神人遵照耶和華的話所設的預兆。

因為耶和華的話這樣吩咐我說：『不可吃飯喝水，也不可從你去的原路回來。』」

因為他遵照耶和華的話，指着伯特利的壇和撒瑪利亞各城丘壇神殿所宣告的話必定應驗。」
