By the word of the Lord a man of God came from Judah to Bethel, as Jeroboam was standing by the altar to make an offering.

A man of God went from Judah to Bethel. He had received a message from the Lord. He arrived in Bethel just as Jeroboam was standing by the altar to offer a sacrifice.

And behold, a man of God came out of Judah by the word of the Lord to Bethel. Jeroboam was standing by the altar to make offerings.

At the Lord’s command, a man of God from Judah went to Bethel, arriving there just as Jeroboam was approaching the altar to burn incense.

A man of God came, however, from Judah to Bethel by the word of the LORD while Jeroboam was standing beside the altar to burn incense.

Now behold, a man of God came from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord, while Jeroboam was standing at the altar to burn incense.

And behold, a man of God went from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord, and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of Jehovah unto Beth- el: and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

A man of God came from Judah to Bethel by a revelation from the Lord while Jeroboam was standing beside the altar to burn incense.

And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the LORD unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

Just then a prophet from Judah, sent by the LORD, arrived in Bethel, as Jeroboam was standing near the altar ready to offer a sacrifice.

Behold, a man of God came out of Judah by Yahweh’s word to Bethel; and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

耶羅波安定了八月十五日為節期，像在猶大的節期一樣；他自己上去、在祭壇旁獻祭；在伯特利他也這樣作，向他所造的牛犢獻祭，又將他所立為邱壇的祭司安置在伯特利。八月十五日、他心裏自定的月日、他自己上去，在他所造於伯特利的祭壇旁獻祭；他為以色列人定了節期，自己上去、在祭壇旁燻祭。

約西亞問說：『我所看見在那裏的是甚麼標記呢？』那城裏的人對他說：『那是個神人的墳墓；他先前從猶大來，將王現在向伯特利祭壇所行的事豫先宣傳出來。』

但是上帝的話卻傳與神人示瑪雅，說：

我們本着主的話告訴你們一件事：我們這些蒙存留到主御臨時還活着的人、斷不能在那些長眠着的人之先；

因為從日出之地到日落之處、我的名在列國中乃為至大；而在各處、必有所燻獻有所供獻潔淨之物於我的名；因為我的名在列國中乃為至大，萬軍之永恆主說。

攻擊這城的迦勒底人必來，放火焚燒這城和它的房屋，因為在那些房頂上人曾燻祭獻與巴力，澆奠祭獻與別的神，來惹我發怒。

『從猶大王亞們的兒子約西亞十三年直到今日、這二十三年之內、時常有永恆主的話傳與我，我也對你們傳講，又及時又屢次地傳講，你們卻不聽從。

所羅門其他的事、始末不是都寫在神言人拿單的《記錄》上、示羅人亞希雅的《神言書》上、和見異象者易多論尼八兒子耶羅波安的《異象書》上麼？

他們阻擋烏西雅王，對他說：『烏西雅啊，向永恆主燒香並不是你應作的事，乃是亞倫子孫作祭司者的事啊；他們才是受聖職來燒香的。你出聖所吧！因為你行了僭妄事了；並且永恆主上帝也不使你得尊榮。』

給以色列人做記念物，叫那不是亞倫後裔的平常人不至於走近前來、在永恆主面前燒香，免得像可拉和他一黨的人那樣子：這是照永恆主由摩西經手所告訴以利亞撒的。

那帶神人從路上回來的神言人聽見這事就說：『這是那違背了永恆主所吩咐的神人，所以永恆主把他交給獅子；獅子撕裂他，咬死他，正如永恆主對他說過的話。』

那時猶大城市的人和耶路撒冷的居民必向他們所燻祭的神哀呼，但在他們遭難時，這些神卻絲毫也不能拯救他們。

神言人們的弟子中有一個人憑着永恆主的話對他的同伴說：『你打我吧。』那人不肯打他。

另有一位天使來了，站在祭壇旁邊，執有着金香爐；有許多香給了他，好跟眾聖徒的禱告一同獻在寶座前的金壇上。

這時壇也破裂，壇上的灰也傾撒下來，正如神人憑着永恆主的話所指出的兆頭。

因為憑着永恆主的話、我是這樣受吩咐說：「你不可喫飯喝水，也不可從你去的原路上回來。」』

因為他憑着永恆主的話攻擊伯特利的壇、攻擊撒瑪利亞各城邱壇的殿、所喊叫的話語必定應驗。』
