耶和華云、此我所使、爾毋往與同族兄弟以色列族戰、各歸故土。民從耶和華命而歸。○

主如是云、此事出乎我、爾勿往、往原文作上勿與同族同族原文作兄弟以色列人戰、各歸己家、民遂聽主言、遵主命而歸、○

‘ This is what the Lord says: Do not go up to fight against your brothers, the Israelites. Go home, every one of you, for this is my doing.’” So they obeyed the word of the Lord and went home again, as the Lord had ordered.

‘ The Lord says,“ Do not go up to fight against the Israelites. They are your relatives. I want every one of you to go back home. Things have happened exactly the way I planned them.” ’ ” So the fighting men obeyed the Lord’ s message. They went home again, just as he had ordered.

‘ Thus says the Lord, You shall not go up or fight against your relatives the people of Israel. Every man return to his home, for this thing is from me.’” So they listened to the word of the Lord and went home again, according to the word of the Lord.

‘ This is what the Lord says: Do not fight against your relatives, the Israelites. Go back home, for what has happened is my doing!’” So they obeyed the message of the Lord and went home, as the Lord had commanded.

‘ This is what the LORD says: You are not to march up and fight against your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you return home, for this situation is from me.’” So they listened to the word of the LORD and went back according to the word of the LORD.

‘ This is what the Lord says:“ You shall not go up nor fight against your relatives the sons of Israel; return, every man to his house, for this thing has come from Me.” ’ ” So they listened to the word of the Lord, and returned to go their way in accordance with the word of the Lord.

‘ Thus says the Lord:“ You shall not go up nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel. Let every man return to his house, for this thing is from Me.”’” Therefore they obeyed the word of the Lord, and turned back, according to the word of the Lord.

Thus saith Jehovah, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is of me. So they hearkened unto the word of Jehovah, and returned and went their way, according to the word of Jehovah.

‘ This is what the Lord says: You are not to march up and fight against your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you must return home, for I have done this.’” So they listened to what the Lord said and went back as He had told them.

Thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is from me. They hearkened therefore to the word of the LORD, and returned to depart, according to the word of the LORD.

‘ The LORD says this:“ Do not attack and make war with your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you go home, for I have caused this to happen.”’” They obeyed the LORD and went home as the LORD had ordered them to do.

‘ Yahweh says,“ You shall not go up or fight against your brothers, the children of Israel. Everyone return to his house; for this thing is from me.”’” So they listened to Yahweh’s word, and returned and went their way, according to Yahweh’s word.

王不肯听从民众的请求，因为这个转变是出于耶和华，为要应验他藉示罗人亚希雅对尼八的儿子耶罗波安所说的话。

于是亚玛谢把那从以法莲来的雇佣兵解散了，遣送他们回家；因此他们非常恼怒犹大人，就气冲冲地回家去了。

你们不要上去，因为耶和华不在你们中间，免得你们在仇敌面前被杀败。

那里有一位耶和华的先知名叫俄德，出来迎接回到撒玛利亚来的军队，对他们说：“耶和华你们列祖的神因为恼怒犹大人，才把他们交在你们手里，你们却怒气冲天，杀戮了他们。现在你们又想强迫犹大人和耶路撒冷人作你们的奴婢。难道你们自己就没有得罪耶和华你们的神吗？你们现在要听我的话，把你们掳回来的兄弟释放回去，因为耶和华的震怒已经临到你们身上了。”于是以法莲人的几个首领，就是约哈难的儿子亚撒利雅、米实利末的儿子比利家、沙龙的儿子耶希西家和哈得莱的儿子亚玛撒，起来阻挡从战场回来的军队，对他们说：“你们不可把这些俘虏带进来，因为我们已经得罪了耶和华，你们想增加我们的罪恶和过犯，我们的过犯实在严重，耶和华的震怒临到以色列人身上了。”于是，军队把俘虏和战利品都留在众领袖和全体会众的面前。上面提过的那些人就起来，领走那些俘虏，从战利品中拿出衣服给所有赤身的穿着，给他们穿上鞋，给他们吃喝，又给他们抹油，又把所有疲弱的人放在驴子上，把他们送回棕树城耶利哥他们的兄弟那里，然后就回撒玛利亚去了。

‘耶和华这样说：你们不可上去，也不可和你们的兄弟交战。你们各自回家去吧，因为这事是出于我。’”于是他们听从耶和华的话，都回家，不去攻打耶罗波安。

有一位神人来见亚玛谢，说：“王啊，请不要领以色列的军队和你同去，因为耶和华不和以色列人，不和任何以法莲的子孙同在。即使你一定要去，奋勇争战，神也会使你在敌人面前覆灭，因为神有能力帮助人，也有能力使人覆灭。”

“他们立了君王，却不是出于我；他们立了首领，我却不知道。他们用自己的金银为自己做了偶像，以致他们被剪除。

有一次，耶罗波安从耶路撒冷出来，示罗人亚希雅先知在路上遇见他。亚希雅身上穿着一件新衣，那时田野里只有他们二人。亚希雅拿着自己身上所穿的新衣，把它撕成十二片，对耶罗波安说：“你拿十片去吧！因为耶和华以色列的神这样说：‘看哪，我必从所罗门的手里把国夺去，把十个支派赐给你。但是为了我的仆人大卫和为了我从以色列众支派中所拣选的耶路撒冷的缘故，所罗门仍然可以拥有一个支派。因为他们离弃了我，去敬拜西顿人的女神亚斯他录、摩押人的神基抹和亚扪人的神米勒公，没有遵行我的道，行我眼中看为正的事，谨守我的律例典章，像他的父亲大卫一样。但是，我不会把整个国家从他的手里夺去，我必使他终身作人君，是因我所拣选的仆人大卫谨守了我的诫命律例的缘故。我要从他儿子的手中把国夺去，赐给你十个支派。至于所罗门的儿子，我要给他一个支派，好使我的仆人大卫在我所拣选立我名的城耶路撒冷，在我面前常常有灯光。我要拣选你，使你可以照心里想望的去统治。你必作以色列的王。你若是听从我吩咐你的一切，遵行我的道，行我看为正的事，谨守我的律例诫命，像我的仆人大卫所行的一样，我就与你同在，为你建立一个巩固的朝代，像我为大卫建立的一样，并且我要把以色列赐给你。
