‘ This is what the Lord says: Do not go up to fight against your brothers, the Israelites. Go home, every one of you, for this is my doing.’” So they obeyed the word of the Lord and went home again, as the Lord had ordered.

‘ The Lord says,“ Do not go up to fight against the Israelites. They are your relatives. I want every one of you to go back home. Things have happened exactly the way I planned them.” ’ ” So the fighting men obeyed the Lord’ s message. They went home again, just as he had ordered.

‘ Thus says the Lord, You shall not go up or fight against your relatives the people of Israel. Every man return to his home, for this thing is from me.’” So they listened to the word of the Lord and went home again, according to the word of the Lord.

‘ This is what the Lord says: Do not fight against your relatives, the Israelites. Go back home, for what has happened is my doing!’” So they obeyed the message of the Lord and went home, as the Lord had commanded.

‘ This is what the LORD says: You are not to march up and fight against your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you return home, for this situation is from me.’” So they listened to the word of the LORD and went back according to the word of the LORD.

‘ This is what the Lord says:“ You shall not go up nor fight against your relatives the sons of Israel; return, every man to his house, for this thing has come from Me.” ’ ” So they listened to the word of the Lord, and returned to go their way in accordance with the word of the Lord.

‘ Thus says the Lord:“ You shall not go up nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel. Let every man return to his house, for this thing is from Me.”’” Therefore they obeyed the word of the Lord, and turned back, according to the word of the Lord.

Thus saith Jehovah, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is of me. So they hearkened unto the word of Jehovah, and returned and went their way, according to the word of Jehovah.

‘ This is what the Lord says: You are not to march up and fight against your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you must return home, for I have done this.’” So they listened to what the Lord said and went back as He had told them.

Thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is from me. They hearkened therefore to the word of the LORD, and returned to depart, according to the word of the LORD.

‘ The LORD says this:“ Do not attack and make war with your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you go home, for I have caused this to happen.”’” They obeyed the LORD and went home as the LORD had ordered them to do.

‘ Yahweh says,“ You shall not go up or fight against your brothers, the children of Israel. Everyone return to his house; for this thing is from me.”’” So they listened to Yahweh’s word, and returned and went their way, according to Yahweh’s word.

撒玛利亚有一位耶和华的先知名叫俄德，他出城去迎接班师回来的军队，说：“看啊，你们祖先的上帝耶和华向犹大发怒，才将他们交在你们手中。你们竟怒气冲天，对他们大加杀戮。现在你们竟还想让犹大和耶路撒冷的男女做你们的仆俾。你们岂不也得罪你们的上帝耶和华吗？你们还是听我的忠告，释放你们掳来的同胞，让他们回去吧！因为耶和华的烈怒已经临到你们了。”约哈难的儿子亚撒利雅、米实利末的儿子比利迦、沙龙的儿子耶希西迦和哈得莱的儿子亚玛撒四位以法莲族长起来阻挡从战场回来的军队，说：“你们不可把这些俘虏带进来，我们的罪已经够重了，耶和华的烈怒已经临到以色列人，不要再得罪耶和华，加重我们的罪恶了。”于是，士兵们便把俘虏和战利品交给众首领和民众。那些以法莲族长就上前照顾俘虏，从战利品中拿出衣服和鞋子给那些赤身露体的俘虏穿上，供应他们吃喝，又给他们的伤口抹上油，让软弱的骑驴。他们把所有的俘虏送到棕树城耶利哥他们的亲族那里，随后返回撒玛利亚。

耶和华这样说，‘你们不要上去与弟兄交战，都回家吧，因为这事出于我。’”众人听从了耶和华的话，没有去攻打耶罗波安，各自回家去了。

一位上帝的仆人来对他说：“王啊，不要让以色列的军队与你同去，因为耶和华不与以色列人——以法莲的子孙同在。你若一定要去，即使你奋勇争战，上帝也必使你败在敌人面前，因为上帝有能力帮助，也有能力倾覆。”

他们拥立君王，未经我的同意；选立首领，没有让我知道。他们用金银为自己制造神像，自取灭亡。

有一次，耶罗波安出了耶路撒冷，在路上遇见身披新衣的示罗人亚希雅先知。当时野外只有他们二人。亚希雅将身上的新衣撕作十二片，对耶罗波安说：“你可以拿十片。以色列的上帝耶和华说，‘我必夺走所罗门的国，把十个支派赐给你。然而，为了我仆人大卫和我在以色列众支派中拣选的耶路撒冷城，我会留下一个支派给所罗门。所罗门背弃了我，去祭拜西顿人的女神亚斯她录、摩押的神明基抹、亚扪人的神明米勒公。他没有遵行我的道，没有做我视为正的事，也不像他父亲大卫那样遵守我的律例和典章。然而，我不会夺走他整个国，我会让所罗门终生为王，因为我所拣选的仆人大卫遵守我的诫命和律法。我必从他儿子手中把国夺走，将十个支派赐给你，只给他儿子留下一个支派，好使我仆人大卫有后裔留在我选为居所的耶路撒冷城。我要让你做王，使你如愿地统治以色列。若你像我仆人大卫一样听从我的一切吩咐，遵行我的道，做我视为正的事，遵守我的律例诫命，我就与你同在，巩固你的王朝，像巩固大卫的王朝一样，使你统治以色列。
