I will give one tribe to his son so that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city where I chose to put my Name.

I will give one of the tribes to David’s son. Then my servant David will always have a son on his throne in Jerusalem. The lamp of David’s kingdom will always burn brightly in my sight. Jerusalem is the city I chose for my Name.

However I will not tear away all the kingdom; but I will give one tribe to your son, for David my servant’s sake, and for Jerusalem’s sake which I have chosen.”

I will make the horn of David to bud there. I have ordained a lamp for my anointed.

However Yahweh would not destroy David’s house, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a lamp to him and to his children always.

But Abishai the son of Zeruiah helped him, and struck the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David swore to him, saying,“ Don’t go out with us to battle any more, so that you don’t quench the lamp of Israel.”

Your house and your kingdom will be made sure forever before you. Your throne will be established forever.”’”

and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David( as he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets who have been from of old),

‘ After these things I will return. I will again build the tabernacle of David, which has fallen. I will again build its ruins. I will set it upthat the rest of men may seek after the Lord; all the Gentiles who are called by my name, says the Lord, who does all these things.’

Yahweh said to him,“ I have heard your prayer and your supplication, that you have made before me. I have made this house holy, which you have built, to put my name there forever; and my eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually.

Now therefore let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever before you; for you, Lord Yahweh, have spoken it. Let the house of your servant be blessed forever with your blessing.”

In that day I will raise up the tent of David who is fallen, and close up its breaches, and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old;that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations who are called by my name,” says Yahweh who does this.

For Yahweh says:“ David will never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel.The Levitical priests won’t lack a man before me to offer burnt offerings, to burn meal offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.”Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,“ Yahweh says:‘ If you can break my covenant of the day and my covenant of the night, so that there will not be day and night in their time;then may my covenant also be broken with David my servant, that he won’t have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.

( but he shall have one tribe, for my servant David’s sake and for Jerusalem’s sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel);

But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable multitudes of angels,

He carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,

because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the dawn from on high will visit us,to shine on those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death; to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
