我必从他儿子的手里将国夺回，以十个支派赐给你，

I will take the kingdom from his son’s hands and give you ten tribes.

I will take the kingdom out of his son’s hands. And I will give you ten of the tribes.

So the king didn’t listen to the people; for it was a thing brought about from Yahweh, that he might establish his word, which Yahweh spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.When all Israel saw that the king didn’t listen to them, the people answered the king, saying,“ What portion have we in David? We don’t have an inheritance in the son of Jesse. To your tents, Israel! Now see to your own house, David.” So Israel departed to their tents.But as for the children of Israel who lived in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.

Nevertheless, I will not do it in your days, for David your father’s sake; but I will tear it out of your son’s hand.

When all Israel heard that Jeroboam had returned, they sent and called him to the congregation, and made him king over all Israel. There was no one who followed David’s house, except for the tribe of Judah only.

So the king didn’t listen to the people; for it was brought about by God, that Yahweh might establish his word, which he spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.When all Israel saw that the king didn’t listen to them, the people answered the king, saying,“ What portion do we have in David? We don’t have an inheritance in the son of Jesse! Every man to your tents, Israel! Now see to your own house, David.” So all Israel departed to their tents.But as for the children of Israel who lived in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.

you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me,and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
