I will give one tribe to his son so that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city where I chose to put my Name.

I will give one of the tribes to David’s son. Then my servant David will always have a son on his throne in Jerusalem. The lamp of David’s kingdom will always burn brightly in my sight. Jerusalem is the city I chose for my Name.

西魯雅子亞比篩救大衛、攻非利士人而殺之、於是大衛之從者於大衛前誓曰、此後爾不可偕我往戰、恐滅以色列之明燈、

謂之曰、爾於我前祈禱呼籲、我聞之矣、我已將爾所建之殿、區別為聖、使我之名永遠在彼、我心我目亦恆在彼、

今求主賜福於僕之家、俾得永存於主前、因主天主已曾言之、願僕之家恆蒙主賜福焉、

當是日大衛已傾頽之室、室原文作幕我必復起之、彌補其隙、復起其圮毀之垣、垣或作處而再建之、與古時無異、使以東遺民、及稱為歸我名之異邦人、俱為彼彼即大衛家所得、此乃行是事之主所言、

主如是云、大衛家永不乏人坐於國位、治理以色列族、祭司利未人、亦不乏人於我前獻火焚祭、獻素祭、日獻恆祭、耶利米奉主命曰、主如是云、我所立晝夜之約、爾若能廢、使晝夜失時、則我與我僕大衛所立之約亦可廢、使無後嗣坐其位為王、我與事我之利未人、及祭司所立之約亦可廢、

第緣我僕大衛、又緣我在以色列諸支派中、所選之耶路撒冷、我必使一支派仍歸於彼、

爾曹所至者、乃郇山、永生天主之城、天上之耶路撒冷、在彼有千萬天使聚集、

我感於神時、天使攜我至一大且高之山、示我大聖城耶路撒冷、自天主由天而降、

因我天主矜恤、使晨光自上臨我、以照居幽暗及死地陰翳之人、又引我履平康之道、○

此夏甲、乃指亞拉伯之西乃山、猶今之耶路撒冷、彼與其諸子皆為奴、惟在上之耶路撒冷為自主、乃我眾之母也、
