Yet among many nations there was no king like him, who was beloved of his God; and God made him king over all Israel. Nevertheless pagan women caused even him to sin.Should we then hear of your doing all this great evil, transgressing against our God by marrying pagan women?”

To keep you from the evil woman, From the flattering tongue of a seductress.

The mouth of an immoral woman is a deep pit; He who is abhorred by the Lord will fall there.

Remove your way far from her, And do not go near the door of her house,Lest you give your honor to others, And your years to the cruel one;Lest aliens be filled with your wealth, And your labors go to the house of a foreigner;And you mourn at last, When your flesh and your body are consumed,And say:“ How I have hated instruction, And my heart despised correction!I have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, Nor inclined my ear to those who instructed me!I was on the verge of total ruin, In the midst of the assembly and congregation.”Drink water from your own cistern, And running water from your own well.Should your fountains be dispersed abroad, Streams of water in the streets?Let them be only your own, And not for strangers with you.Let your fountain be blessed, And rejoice with the wife of your youth.As a loving deer and a graceful doe, Let her breasts satisfy you at all times; And always be enraptured with her love.For why should you, my son, be enraptured by an immoral woman, And be embraced in the arms of a seductress?

And he did likewise for all his foreign wives, who burned incense and sacrificed to their gods.

Your eyes will see strange things, And your heart will utter perverse things.

Nor shall you take a woman as a rival to her sister, to uncover her nakedness while the other is alive.

that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.And the Lord said,“ My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them.
