哈曼進來了，王問他：「王願意賜予尊榮的人，應該怎麼對待他呢？」哈曼心裡說：「王願意賜予尊榮的人，除我以外，還會有誰呢？」哈曼就對王說：「王願意賜予尊榮的人，應該讓人把王所穿的王袍和王所騎的馬，就是頭戴御冠的馬帶來，把衣袍和馬交在王的一個貴族首領的手中，給王願意賜予尊榮的人穿上衣袍，使他騎上馬，然後領他走遍城市廣場，並在他前面宣告：『王願意賜予尊榮的人，就要這樣對待他！』」於是王對哈曼說：「趕快！把衣袍和馬帶來，照著你所說的那樣對待坐在御門那裡的猶太人末迪凱；凡你所說的，一樣也不可缺少。」哈曼就把衣袍和馬帶來，給末迪凱穿上衣袍，使他騎上馬，然後領他走遍城市廣場，並在他前面宣告：「王願意賜予尊榮的人，就要這樣對待他！」

大衛對亞比篩說：「現在比基利的兒子示巴對我們的危害比押沙龍更大。你帶著你主人的臣僕們追趕他，免得他找到堅固的城，從我們眼前逃脫了。」於是約押的部下、基利提人、比利提人以及所有的勇士就跟著亞比篩出發。他們從耶路撒冷出去，追趕比基利的兒子示巴。

又讓約瑟乘自己的副車，喝道的在約瑟前面向人呼喊：「跪下！」這樣，法老委派他管理埃及全地。
