我们知道凡从神生的，必不犯罪，从神生的，必保守自己，那恶者也就无法害他。

We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them.

我知爾諸行、爾有微能、已守我道、未棄我名、我於爾前、賜以既開之門、無能闔者、撒但之黨、自謂猶太人而非然者、乃誑耳、我必使之來、拜爾足前、而知我已愛爾焉、爾既堅忍守我之道、我亦將守爾、免乎受試之時、此時將臨於寰宇、以試凡宅地之人、

我禁我足、遠諸邪途、以守爾言兮、

以爾重生、非由可壞之種、乃於不可壞者、即上帝之道、生而恆存者也、

且循己旨、以真道生我儕、俾於其所造者、猶初實之果焉、○

此後、我與爾無多言、蓋此世之君將至、彼於我無與也、

非若該隱由夫惡者而殺其弟、其殺之也何故、因其行惡而弟義也、○

我儕乃由上帝、識上帝者聽我、非由上帝者則否、真理之神、與謬妄之神、於此可識矣、○

其生也、非由血氣、非由情欲、非由人意、乃由上帝也、

我謂必謹我行、免舌干咎、惡人當前、必箝我口兮、

夫能保爾無蹶、立爾於其有榮之前、歡然無瑕、獨一之上帝、我之救者、

且凡於彼有此望者、則潔己如彼之潔然、

至於人事、我遵爾言、以自戒慎、不循強暴之軌兮、

我知爾居所、乃撒但之座所在、昔我忠信之證者安提帕、見殺於爾中、即撒但之所居、爾則持我名、亦未嘗拒我道、

夜詣耶穌曰、夫子、我儕知爾為師、自上帝而來、蓋爾所行之異蹟、非上帝偕之、無能行者、耶穌曰、我誠語汝、人非更生、不能見上帝國也、尼哥底母曰、人既老、奚能生、能再入母胎而生耶、耶穌曰、我誠語汝、人非由水與聖神而生、不能入上帝國、
