Dear children, you belong to God. You have not accepted the teachings of the false prophets. That’s because the one who is in you is powerful. He is more powerful than the one who is in the world.

小子乎、爾曹屬天主、已勝彼眾、蓋在爾內者、較在世內者大也、

可愛哉小子、爾等則本乎天主、而戰勝若輩矣。無他寓於爾內者、實遠勝乎寓於世間者也。

It is against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly world.So put on all of God’s armor. Evil days will come. But you will be able to stand up to anything. And after you have done everything you can, you will still be standing.

Finally, let the Lord make you strong. Depend on his mighty power.

That friend is the Spirit of truth. The world can’t accept him. That’s because the world does not see him or know him. But you know him. He lives with you, and he will be in you.I will not leave you like children who don’t have parents. I will come to you.Before long, the world will not see me anymore. But you will see me. Because I live, you will live also.On that day you will realize that I am in my Father. You will know that you are in me, and I am in you.Anyone who has my commands and obeys them loves me. My Father will love the one who loves me. I too will love them. And I will show myself to them.”Then Judas spoke.“ Lord,” he said,“ why do you plan to show yourself only to us? Why not also to the world?” The Judas who spoke those words was not Judas Iscariot.Jesus replied,“ Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them. We will come to them and make our home with them.

We belong to God. And those who know God listen to us. But those who don’t belong to God don’t listen to us. That’s how we can tell the difference between the Spirit of truth and the spirit of lies.

Those who are God’s children will not keep on sinning. God’s very nature remains in them. They can’t go on sinning. That’s because they are God’s children.Here is how you can tell the difference between God’s children and the devil’s children. Anyone who doesn’t do what is right isn’t God’s child. And anyone who doesn’t love their brother or sister isn’t God’s child either.
