嗚呼、天父愛吾人之深、待吾人之厚、有不能言喻者焉。吾人竟蒙恩召、得稱為天主之子女、而亦實為天主之子女矣。然則吾人之不容於世、不亦宜乎；即天主亦未嘗見容於世也。

你看父赐给我们是何等的慈爱，使我们得称为神的儿女；我们也真是他的儿女。世人所以不认识我们，是因未曾认识他。

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

See what amazing love the Father has given us! Because of it, we are called children of God. And that’s what we really are! The world doesn’t know us because it didn’t know him.

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.

蓋爾等皆因信仰耶穌基督、而成天主之子女矣。

庶幾諸凡生於律法之下者、悉蒙拯贖、而吾人皆獲得兒女身分。正惟吾人之為兒女、故天主以其聖子之神、注於吾人之心、俾孺慕之情、油然而生、而發為呼親喊父之聲。

吾願作爾慈父、爾當為吾子女。』此乃全能主宰之語也！

公義之父乎！世不識父、予則識父、而斯輩亦識父之遣予也。

夫天主不惜以其惟一聖子賜之於世、俾凡信之者、得免淪亡、而獲永生、是其愛世之篤、為何如乎？

主之正直峻於嶽。主之睿斷深於淵。人畜草木盡覆載。好生之德洵無邊。世人咸庇卵翼下。安居大宅飫肥鮮。主復飲以靈川水。在主身邊有活泉。

夫天主竟遣其惟一之聖子降世、俾吾人得賴之以生、天主之垂愛吾人、不已明乎。吾人未愛天主、而天主先愛吾人、且遣其聖子、為吾人之罪惡、作息怒之犧牲；愛德即在斯中。

庶能與諸聖共體其奧旨之廣之長之高之深；乃至基督不可思議之仁愛、亦能心領神會；則天主無窮之蘊藏、將沛然充爾之身。

凡堅忍到底者、必得承此洪基。我願為其主、彼當為我子。

天主於阿塞亞書中亦云：『本非我子民、我將子民之。未蒙寵愛者、我將寵愛之。』又曰：『昔者但聞爾非吾民者、異日將稱為永生天主之子女矣。』

夫爾等既屬基督即為亞伯漢之裔、亦即承恩諾之嗣子也。

天主以其聖子為我眾捨生、猶且不惜、尚何吝以一切萬有并賜於我耶？

凡遵循天主聖神之導引者、即為天主之兒女。蓋爾所受者、非畏首畏尾之奴隸情緒；爾所受者、乃為呼爺喚父之兒女精神也。即聖神亦與吾人之神魂、同證吾人之為天主兒女焉。既為兒女、即為嗣子；既為天主之嗣子、則亦為基督之共同繼承人也。惟是吾人如欲與之共榮、則不可不先與之共苦共難耳。

截彼誇誕舌。緘彼誑訛唇。庶幾傲慢子。不復誣精誠。

然制之而未絕其望也。蓋萬物亦必悉蒙解放、脫朽腐之絆、而熙天主眾子光榮之自由也。

蓋爾已死；爾之生命、與基督同匿於天主懷中。
