爾昔為暗、今信主而為光、當如光明之人而行、

及誠信之證者、自死中首先復活者、為天下萬王之元首者耶穌基督、得恩寵平康、

夜已深、晝已近、當解暗昩之行、衣光明之甲冑、

天主乃光、無少晦暗、此乃我儕所聞於彼、而傳於爾之示諭、

何況基督感於永在之神、以己無瑕之身、獻於天主、其血豈更不淨爾心去妄行、使爾奉事永生之天主乎、

耶穌曰、片時光尚偕爾、乘有光當行、恐暗忽臨、行於暗者、不知所往、

爾中有人、素亦如是、今賴主耶穌基督之名、及我天主之神、得洗滌成聖稱義、○

當是日必有泉源、為大衛家及耶路撒冷居民而開、或作當是日必為大衛家與耶路撒冷居民湧出一泉得以滌罪去污、

我儕以所見所聞者告爾曹、使爾與我儕心交、我儕與父及其子耶穌基督心交、

獨一永生、居於不得近之光明中、乃人所未見、亦不能見、願尊榮與永遠之權能歸之、阿們、○

善人必蒙光輝普照、心正之人、必得喜樂、

在地作證者三、聖神也、水也、血也、此三者歸一、有原文抄本七八二節祗有作證者三水也血也聖神也此三者歸一五句

明日、約翰見耶穌就己、乃曰、觀天主之羔、負世之罪者、

因主從死中救我生命、保祐我免於傾跌、使我在生命光中、奉事天主、

諸兄弟不貪生而冒死、賴羔之血、及所證之道而勝之、

雅各家乎、我儕同往、行於主光明之中、

凡美善之恩施、全備之賞賚、皆自上出、由光明之父而降、彼永無變易、無遷移之影、

二人不和、豈可同行、
