Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.

I am free and don’t belong to anyone. But I have made myself a slave to everyone. I do it to win as many as I can to Christ.

For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them.

兄弟乎、爾蒙召得自由、然勿以自由為形軀之機、惟以愛相供役、

倘兄弟得罪於爾、則於彼獨處時謫之、若聽、則得爾兄弟、

惟爾曹不然、爾中欲為大者、當為爾役、欲為首者、當為爾僕、猶人子至、非以役人、乃役於人、且舍生為眾贖也、○

各宜悅鄰、以致其益、而建立之、

兄弟乎、爾中或迷失真道、而有使之反正者、當知使罪人反自迷途、乃救一人免死、掩罪多矣、

於猶太人、我則如猶太人、以獲猶太人、於律下人、我雖非在律下、乃如律下人、以獲律下人、於律外人、我如律外人、以獲律外人、然我非在上帝律外、乃在基督律下也、於弱者則為弱者、以獲弱者、於眾則如眾、多方以救數人、

故我因選民而忍諸難、使於基督耶穌而得拯救、並得永榮、

為婦者、宜服爾夫、或夫不從道、致外乎道、由婦所行、亦可得之、

如我凡事悅眾、不求益己、乃求益眾、使之得救也、

我為主、為師、猶濯爾足、則爾曹亦宜相濯足也、蓋我以模楷示爾、使爾如我所行而行焉、

慎乃身與乃訓、宜恆於斯、如是、則將救己及聽爾者矣、

我儕所宣非己、乃基督耶穌為主、己則緣耶穌為爾僕耳、

我於希利尼人、化外人、智者愚者、皆負其債、

我非自由乎、非使徒乎、非曾見我主耶穌乎、爾曹非我宗主之工乎、

義者結果、有若生命之樹、智者乃有得人之能、

基督既釋我儕而得自由、故宜堅立、勿再負為僕之軛、

為婦者、焉知能救爾夫乎、為夫者焉知能救爾婦乎、

庶可發我骨肉之憤、而救其數人、
