What is my reward then? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge, that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel.

既是这样，我的赏赐是什么呢？就是我传福音的时候叫人不花钱得福音，免得用尽我传福音的权柄。

那麼，我的報償到底是什麼呢？就是：我傳福音的時候，能免費地提供福音，好使我不會充分利用在福音工作上屬自己的權利。

然則我之賞維何、即宣福音、使人不費而得之、免我盡用福音之權也、

我自詡何歟、即傳基督福音、未嘗傷人之財、雖有權、而我不妄用其權、

然則我之賞何歟、即我傳基督之福音、使人無所費而得、不妄用我在福音所有之權、

然則吾果無報酬乎？曰：正惟吾傳福音而不受酬、而不享受權利、酬在其中矣。

What then is my reward? Just this: that in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so not make full use of my rights as a preacher of the gospel.

Then what reward do I get? Here is what it is. I am able to preach the good news free of charge. And I can do this without using all my rights as a person who preaches the good news.

What then is my reward? That in my preaching I may present the gospel free of charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.

What then is my pay? It is the opportunity to preach the Good News without charging anyone. That’s why I never demand my rights when I preach the Good News.

What then is my reward? To preach the gospel and offer it free of charge and not make full use of my rights in the gospel.

What, then, is my reward? That, when I preach the gospel, I may offer the gospel without charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.

Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to refrain from working?Who ever goes to war at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink of the milk of the flock?

But beware lest somehow this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to those who are weak.

nor did we eat anyone’s bread free of charge, but worked with labor and toil night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you,not because we do not have authority, but to make ourselves an example of how you should follow us.

just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

and those who use this world as not misusing it. For the form of this world is passing away.

Nor did we seek glory from men, either from you or from others, when we might have made demands as apostles of Christ.

Did I commit sin in humbling myself that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge?I robbed other churches, taking wages from them to minister to you.And when I was present with you, and in need, I was a burden to no one, for what I lacked the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied. And in everything I kept myself from being burdensome to you, and so I will keep myself.

For what is it in which you were inferior to other churches, except that I myself was not burdensome to you? Forgive me this wrong!Now for the third time I am ready to come to you. And I will not be burdensome to you; for I do not seek yours, but you. For the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.And I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved.But be that as it may, I did not burden you. Nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you by cunning!Did I take advantage of you by any of those whom I sent to you?I urged Titus, and sent our brother with him. Did Titus take advantage of you? Did we not walk in the same spirit? Did we not walk in the same steps?

Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died.
