然則我之賞何歟、即我傳基督之福音、使人無所費而得、不妄用我在福音所有之權、

然則我之賞維何、即宣福音、使人不費而得之、免我盡用福音之權也、

我自詡何歟、即傳基督福音、未嘗傷人之財、雖有權、而我不妄用其權、

然則吾果無報酬乎？曰：正惟吾傳福音而不受酬、而不享受權利、酬在其中矣。

What then is my reward? Just this: that in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so not make full use of my rights as a preacher of the gospel.

Then what reward do I get? Here is what it is. I am able to preach the good news free of charge. And I can do this without using all my rights as a person who preaches the good news.

What then is my reward? That in my preaching I may present the gospel free of charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.

What then is my pay? It is the opportunity to preach the Good News without charging anyone. That’s why I never demand my rights when I preach the Good News.

What, then, is my reward? That, when I preach the gospel, I may offer the gospel without charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.

What is my reward then?[ Verily] that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

我所宣者非己、乃主基督耶穌也、我因耶穌為爾僕、

抑我與巴拿巴、不得不作工乎、誰為軍士、食己之餉乎、誰樹葡萄園、不食其果乎、誰牧羊群、不食羊群之乳乎、

第當謹慎、勿以爾之自由、使荏弱者躓蹶、

亦未素餐於人、惟是勞苦、晝夜操作、免累爾一人、我儕如此、非因無權使爾供我、乃為爾自作模範、使爾效我儕、

似我凡事使眾喜悅、不求己益、乃求眾人之益、使其得救、

享此世者當如不享、蓋此世之形狀將逝矣、

我儕為基督之使徒、雖可使人尊重、然未求榮於爾曹、或於他人、

我傳天主之福音於爾、而不費爾貲、自居卑微、使爾高舉、此為罪乎、我使他會費貲、取值於彼、以為爾役、我在爾中、而用不足、未累一人、蓋自瑪其頓來之兄弟、補我之所缺、我凡事自守、免致累爾、後仍將自守、

爾何事不及他教會乎、惟我不累爾、此不公之處、請爾恕我、今我第三次欲就爾、仍必不累爾、因我所求者、爾也、非爾所有也、子不為父積財、乃父為子積財焉、雖我愈愛爾、愈不見爾愛我、我仍為爾靈魂、甘於費財盡己、或有人云、我雖不累爾、乃為狡詐之人、以計取爾、然我遣人就爾、曾藉誰取爾財乎、我請提多就爾、又求一弟偕之、提多曾得爾財乎、我眾非同一心乎、非同一跡而行乎、○

若爾因所食、使兄弟憂、則所行不循愛人之道、基督為之死、爾勿以所食而敗之、
