For when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

我传福音原没有可夸的，因为我是不得已的。若不传福音，我便有祸了。

蓋我引以為榮者、不在宣傳福音；蓋宣傳福音、在吾為義不容辭之事、實有所受命耳。若中途而廢、則吾其休矣！

But when I preach the good news, I can’t brag. I have to preach it. How terrible it will be for me if I do not preach the good news!

For if I preach the gospel, that gives me no ground for boasting. For necessity is laid upon me. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

Yet preaching the Good News is not something I can boast about. I am compelled by God to do it. How terrible for me if I didn’t preach the Good News!

For if I preach the gospel, I have no reason to boast, because I am compelled to preach— and woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast about, for I am under compulsion; for woe to me if I do not preach the gospel.

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!

I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish.

Tell Archippus:“ See to it that you complete the ministry you have received in the Lord.”

I am sending you to themto open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’“ So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven.First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and demonstrate their repentance by their deeds.

Jesus replied,“ No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

Therefore I glory in Christ Jesus in my service to God.

But the Lord said to Ananias,“ Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel.

“ Woe to me!” I cried.“ I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.”

But the Lord took me from tending the flock and said to me,‘ Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’

The lion has roared— who will not fear? The Sovereign Lord has spoken— who can but prophesy?

You deceived me, Lord, and I was deceived; you overpowered me and prevailed. I am ridiculed all day long; everyone mocks me.

If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about— but not before God.

But if I say,“ I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.

“ Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them.
