论到童身的人，我没有主的命令，但我既蒙主怜恤能作忠心的人，就把自己的意见告诉你们。因现今的艰难，据我看来，人不如守素安常才好。

并且要以我主长久忍耐为得救的因由，就如我们所亲爱的兄弟保罗，照着所赐给他的智慧写了信给你们。他一切的信上也都是讲论这事。信中有些难明白的，那无学问、不坚固的人强解，如强解别的经书一样，就自取沉沦。

我不是自由的吗？我不是使徒吗？我不是见过我们的主耶稣吗？你们不是我在主里面所做之工吗？假若在别人，我不是使徒，在你们，我总是使徒，因为你们在主里正是我作使徒的印证。我对那盘问我的人就是这样分诉：

论到你们信上所提的事，我说男不近女倒好。

所以，那弃绝的，不是弃绝人，乃是弃绝那赐圣灵给你们的神。

我说这话是为你们的益处，不是要牢笼你们，乃是要叫你们行合宜的事，得以殷勤服侍主，没有分心的事。
