婦固與處子異、無夫者慮主之事、欲其體其神成聖、有夫者慮世之事、如何悅夫、

婦與童女有別、無夫者慮主之事、欲其身與神皆成聖、有夫者慮世之事、如何悅夫、

無夫者及處女、亦能專心事主、惟求神形之聖潔，有夫者則注意世故、兼欲取悅於夫矣。

and his interests are divided. An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord’s affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world— how she can please her husband.

His concerns pull him in two directions. A single woman or a virgin is concerned about the Lord’s matters. She wants to serve the Lord with both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the matters of this world. She wants to know how she can please her husband.

and his interests are divided. And the unmarried or betrothed woman is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to be holy in body and spirit. But the married woman is anxious about worldly things, how to please her husband.

His interests are divided. In the same way, a woman who is no longer married or has never been married can be devoted to the Lord and holy in body and in spirit. But a married woman has to think about her earthly responsibilities and how to please her husband.

馬大被許多要作的事，弄得心煩意亂，就上前來，說：“主啊，我妹妹讓我一個人侍候，你不理嗎？請吩咐她來幫助我。”主回答她：“馬大，馬大，你為許多事操心忙碌，但是最需要的只有一件，馬利亞已經選擇了那上好的分，是不能從她奪去的。”

我所熱切期待和盼望的，就是在凡事上我都不會羞愧，只要滿有膽量，不論生死，總要讓基督在我身上照常被尊為大。

又有一個女先知，就是亞拿，是亞設支派法內利的女兒。她已經上了年紀，從童女出嫁，和丈夫住了七年，就寡居了，直到八十四歲（“就寡居了，直到八十四歲”或譯：“就寡居了八十四年”）。她沒有離開過聖殿，以禁食和禱告晝夜事奉主。

所以弟兄們，我憑著神的仁慈勸你們，要把身體獻上，作聖潔而蒙神悅納的活祭；這是你們理所當然的事奉（“理所當然的事奉”或譯：“屬靈的敬拜”）。不要模仿這個世代，倒要藉著心意的更新而改變過來，使你們可以察驗出甚麼是神的旨意，就是察驗出甚麼是美好的、蒙他悅納的和完全的事。

除了這些外面的事，還有為各教會掛心的事，天天壓在我的身上。

因為你們是用重價買來的。所以你們務要用自己的身體榮耀神。

看哪，你們依照神的意思憂傷，在你們中間就產生了怎樣的熱情、申訴、憤慨、戰兢、渴望、熱誠、正義；你們在各方面都表明了自己在那事上是清白的。因此，從前我雖然寫過信給你們，卻不是為了那虧負人的，也不是為了那受害的，而是在神面前把你們對我們的熱情，向你們顯現出來。

願賜平安的神親自使你們完全成聖，又願你們整個人：靈、魂和身體都得蒙保守，在我們的主耶穌基督再來的時候，無可指摘。

這話是可信的，我願你確實地強調這些事，使信神的人常常留心作善工；這些都是美事，並且是對人有益的。

（人若不知道怎樣管理自己的家，怎能照料神的教會呢？）

也不要把你們的肢體獻給罪，作不義的用具；倒要像出死得生的人，把自己獻給神，並且把你們的肢體獻給神作義的用具。

感謝神，他把我對你們那樣的熱情，放在提多的心裡。
