而結了婚的男人所掛慮的是世界的事，是要怎樣討妻子的喜悅，

有妻者慮世之事、如何悅妻、

有妻者慮世之事如何悅妻、

有妻者慮世之事、如何悅妻、

有妻者則注意世故、兼欲取悅於妻、則分心矣。

But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world— how he can please his wife—

But a married man is concerned about the matters of this world. He wants to know how he can please his wife.

But the married man is anxious about worldly things, how to please his wife,

But a married man has to think about his earthly responsibilities and how to please his wife.

But the married man is concerned about the things of the world— how he may please his wife—

but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife,

But he who is married cares about the things of the world— how he may please his wife.

but he that is married is careful for the things of the world, how he may please his wife,

But a married man is concerned about the things of the world— how he may please his wife—

But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please[ his] wife.

but he who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife.

Husbands, in the same way, treat your wives with consideration as the weaker partners and show them honor as fellow heirs of the grace of life. In this way nothing will hinder your prayers.

Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them.

A husband should give to his wife her sexual rights, and likewise a wife to her husband.

Then there was a great outcry from the people and their wives against their fellow Jews.There were those who said,“ With our sons and daughters, we are many. We must obtain grain in order to eat and stay alive.”There were others who said,“ We are putting up our fields, our vineyards, and our houses as collateral in order to obtain grain during the famine.”Then there were those who said,“ We have borrowed money to pay our taxes to the king on our fields and our vineyards.And now, though we share the same flesh and blood as our fellow countrymen, and our children are just like their children, still we have found it necessary to subject our sons and daughters to slavery. Some of our daughters have been subjected to slavery, while we are powerless to help, since our fields and vineyards now belong to other people.”

Then Jesus said to his disciples,“ Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear.

Whenever the day came for Elkanah to sacrifice, he used to give meat portions to his wife Peninnah and to all her sons and daughters.But he would give a double portion to Hannah, because he especially loved her. Now the LORD had not enabled her to have children.Her rival wife used to upset her and make her worry, for the LORD had not enabled her to have children.Peninnah would behave this way year after year. Whenever Hannah went up to the LORD’s house, Peninnah would upset her so that she would weep and refuse to eat.Finally her husband Elkanah said to her,“ Hannah, why do you weep and not eat? Why are you so sad? Am I not better to you than ten sons?”

to aspire to lead a quiet life, to attend to your own business, and to work with your hands, as we commanded you.In this way you will live a decent life before outsiders and not be in need.

Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for herto sanctify her by cleansing her with the washing of the water by the word,so that he may present the church to himself as glorious– not having a stain or wrinkle, or any such blemish, but holy and blameless.In the same way husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.For no one has ever hated his own body but he feeds it and takes care of it, just as Christ also does the church,for we are members of his body.For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.This mystery is great– but I am actually speaking with reference to Christ and the church.Nevertheless, each one of you must also love his own wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

But if someone does not provide for his own, especially his own family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
