有妻者慮世之事、如何悅妻、

有妻者則注意世故、兼欲取悅於妻、則分心矣。

But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world— how he can please his wife—

But a married man is concerned about the matters of this world. He wants to know how he can please his wife.

But a married man has to think about his earthly responsibilities and how to please his wife.

But the married man is concerned about the things of the world— how he may please his wife—

but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife,

But he who is married cares about the things of the world— how he may please his wife.

but he that is married is careful for the things of the world, how he may please his wife,

But a married man is concerned about the things of the world— how he may please his wife—

But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please[ his] wife.

But a married man is concerned about t he things of the world, how to please his wife,

but he who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife.

Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.

Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.

The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband.

Now there arose a great outcry of the people and of their wives against their Jewish brothers.For there were those who said,“ With our sons and our daughters, we are many. So let us get grain, that we may eat and keep alive.”There were also those who said,“ We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards, and our houses to get grain because of the famine.”And there were those who said,“ We have borrowed money for the king’s tax on our fields and our vineyards.Now our flesh is as the flesh of our brothers, our children are as their children. Yet we are forcing our sons and our daughters to be slaves, and some of our daughters have already been enslaved, but it is not in our power to help it, for other men have our fields and our vineyards.”

And he said to his disciples,“ Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on.

On the day when Elkanah sacrificed, he would give portions to Peninnah his wife and to all her sons and daughters.But to Hannah he gave a double portion, because he loved her, though the Lord had closed her womb.And her rival used to provoke her grievously to irritate her, because the Lord had closed her womb.So it went on year by year. As often as she went up to the house of the Lord, she used to provoke her. Therefore Hannah wept and would not eat.And Elkanah, her husband, said to her,“ Hannah, why do you weep? And why do you not eat? And why is your heart sad? Am I not more to you than ten sons?”

and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you,so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.

Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church,because we are members of his body.“ Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
