and those who use the world, as not using it to the fullest. For the mode of this world passes away.

用世物的，要像不用世物，因为这世界的样子将要过去了。

享受这世界的，不像在享受这世界；因为这世界的局面将要过去了。

享用世界之物的，不要沉溺其中，因为现今的世界很快就要过去了。

享用世上百物的要像没有享用的一样，因为这世上的情况都要过去。

利用世界的，要像没有充分利用世界的；因为这世界的形态正在消逝。

用世物的，要像不用世物，因為這世界的樣子將要過去了。

享受這世界的，不像在享受這世界；因為這世界的局面將要過去了。

those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away.

Those who use the things of the world should not become all wrapped up in them. The world as it now exists is passing away.

and those who deal with the world as though they had no dealings with it. For the present form of this world is passing away.

Those who use the things of the world should not become attached to them. For this world as we know it will soon pass away.

and those who use the world as though they did not make full use of it. For this world in its current form is passing away.

and those who use the world, as though they did not make full use of it; for the present form of this world is passing away.

and those who use this world as not misusing it. For the form of this world is passing away.

and those that use the world, as not using it to the full: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

And they that use this world, as not abusing[ it]: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever.

But the end of all things is near. Therefore be of sound mind, self- controlled, and sober in prayer.

“ So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly.

“ Surely every man walks like a shadow. Surely they busy themselves in vain. He heaps up, and doesn’t know who shall gather.

For,“ All flesh is like grass, and all of man’s glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;

Go your way— eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has already accepted your works.Let your garments be always white, and don’t let your head lack oil.Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your life of vanity, which he has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity, for that is your portion in life, and in your labor in which you labor under the sun.Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor plan, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going.

Whereas you don’t know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.

I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice, and to do good as long as they live.Also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God.

What then is my reward? That when I preach the Good News, I may present the Good News of Christ without charge, so as not to abuse my authority in the Good News.

One generation goes, and another generation comes; but the earth remains forever.

He said to them,“ Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses.”He spoke a parable to them, saying,“ The ground of a certain rich man produced abundantly.He reasoned within himself, saying,‘ What will I do, because I don’t have room to store my crops?’He said,‘ This is what I will do. I will pull down my barns, build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.I will tell my soul,“ Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry.”’“ But God said to him,‘ You foolish one, tonight your soul is required of you. The things which you have prepared— whose will they be?’So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

“ For it is like a man, going into another country, who called his own servants, and entrusted his goods to them.To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one; to each according to his own ability. Then he went on his journey.Immediately he who received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.In the same way, he also who got the two gained another two.But he who received the one talent went away and dug in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.“ Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and reconciled accounts with them.He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying,‘ Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents in addition to them.’“ His lord said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’“ He also who got the two talents came and said,‘ Lord, you delivered to me two talents. Behold, I have gained another two talents in addition to them.’“ His lord said to him,‘ Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’“ He also who had received the one talent came and said,‘ Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you didn’t sow, and gathering where you didn’t scatter.I was afraid, and went away and hid your talent in the earth. Behold, you have what is yours.’“ But his lord answered him,‘ You wicked and slothful servant. You knew that I reap where I didn’t sow, and gather where I didn’t scatter.You ought therefore to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received back my own with interest.Take away therefore the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents.For to everyone who has will be given, and he will have abundance, but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away.

“ He said to him,‘ Well done, you good servant! Because you were found faithful with very little, you shall have authority over ten cities.’“ The second came, saying,‘ Your mina, Lord, has made five minas.’“ So he said to him,‘ And you are to be over five cities.’Another came, saying,‘ Lord, behold, your mina, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief,for I feared you, because you are an exacting man. You take up that which you didn’t lay down, and reap that which you didn’t sow.’“ He said to him,‘ Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant! You knew that I am an exacting man, taking up that which I didn’t lay down, and reaping that which I didn’t sow.Then why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank, and at my coming, I might have earned interest on it?’He said to those who stood by,‘ Take the mina away from him and give it to him who has the ten minas.’“ They said to him,‘ Lord, he has ten minas!’‘ For I tell you that to everyone who has, will more be given; but from him who doesn’t have, even that which he has will be taken away from him.

Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy;that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to share;

and the rich, in that he is made humble, because like the flower in the grass, he will pass away.For the sun arises with the scorching wind and withers the grass, and the flower in it falls, and the beauty of its appearance perishes. So the rich man will also fade away in his pursuits.

Behold, that which I have seen to be good and proper is for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy good in all his labor, in which he labors under the sun, all the days of his life which God has given him; for this is his portion.Every man also to whom God has given riches and wealth, and has given him power to eat of it, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor— this is the gift of God.For he shall not often reflect on the days of his life; because God occupies him with the joy of his heart.

Give a portion to seven, yes, even to eight; for you don’t know what evil will be on the earth.

Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming on you.Your riches are corrupted and your garments are moth- eaten.Your gold and your silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be for a testimony against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up your treasure in the last days.Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you have kept back by fraud, cry out, and the cries of those who reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Armies.You have lived in luxury on the earth, and taken your pleasure. You have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter.

But if that evil servant should say in his heart,‘ My lord is delaying his coming,’and begins to beat his fellow servants, and eat and drink with the drunkards,the lord of that servant will come in a day when he doesn’t expect it, and in an hour when he doesn’t know it,

He also said to his disciples,“ There was a certain rich man who had a manager. An accusation was made to him that this man was wasting his possessions.He called him, and said to him,‘ What is this that I hear about you? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.’

As a dream when one wakes up, so, Lord, when you awake, you will despise their fantasies.

There is nothing better for a man than that he should eat and drink, and make his soul enjoy good in his labor. This also I saw, that it is from the hand of God.For who can eat, or who can have enjoyment, more than I?

Rejoice, young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes; but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.Therefore remove sorrow from your heart, and put away evil from your flesh; for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.
