This is what I mean, brothers: the appointed time has grown very short. From now on, let those who have wives live as though they had none,

弟兄们，我要说这一点：时候不多了！从此有妻子的，要像没有妻子的；

這一點、弟兄們、我卻要說：時期縮短了。今後有妻子的、要像沒有一樣；

弟兄們，我要說這一點：時候不多了！從此有妻子的，要像沒有妻子的；

兄弟乎、我姑言之、時日促矣、今而後有妻者當如無妻、

兄弟乎、吾言今而後、窘逼之時也、故有妻者、當如無妻、

兄弟乎、所餘之時無幾、故有妻者當如無妻、

第有一語、不得不為兄弟告者、即人生在世、為日無多；故有妻當若無妻、

What I mean, brothers and sisters, is that the time is short. From now on those who have wives should live as if they do not;

Brothers and sisters, what I mean is that the time is short. From now on, those who have a husband or wife should live as if they did not.

But let me say this, dear brothers and sisters: The time that remains is very short. So from now on, those with wives should not focus only on their marriage.

This is what I mean, brothers and sisters: The time is limited, so from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none,

But this I say, brothers, the time has been shortened, so that from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none;

But this I say, brethren, the time is short, so that from now on even those who have wives should be as though they had none,

But this I say, brethren, the time is shortened, that henceforth both those that have wives may be as though they had none;

And I say this, brothers: The time is limited, so from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none,

But this I say, brethren, the time[ is] short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;

And I say this, brothers and sisters: The time is short. So then those who have wives should be as those who have none,

But I say this, brothers: the time is short, that from now on, both those who have wives may be as though they had none;

Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.

Come now, you who say,“ Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”—yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.Instead you ought to say,“ If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.

Therefore let us go to him outside the camp and bear the reproach he endured.For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.

and those who deal with the world as though they had no dealings with it. For the present form of this world is passing away.

And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

“ O Lord, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am!Behold, you have made my days a few handbreadths, and my lifetime is as nothing before you. Surely all mankind stands as a mere breath! SelahSurely a man goes about as a shadow! Surely for nothing they are in turmoil; man heaps up wealth and does not know who will gather!“ And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you.

The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.

You sweep them away as with a flood; they are like a dream, like grass that is renewed in the morning:in the morning it flourishes and is renewed; in the evening it fades and withers.For we are brought to an end by your anger; by your wrath we are dismayed.You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.For all our days pass away under your wrath; we bring our years to an end like a sigh.The years of our life are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty; yet their span is but toil and trouble; they are soon gone, and we fly away.

A voice says,“ Cry!” And I said,“ What shall I cry?” All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field.The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the Lord blows on it; surely the people are grass.The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.

for“ All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might, for there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.

The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.

But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher; all is vanity.

For who knows what is good for man while he lives the few days of his vain life, which he passes like a shadow? For who can tell man what will be after him under the sun?

Behold, the Lord will empty the earth and make it desolate, and he will twist its surface and scatter its inhabitants.And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the slave, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the creditor, so with the debtor.

“ Man who is born of a woman is few of days and full of trouble.He comes out like a flower and withers; he flees like a shadow and continues not.

As for man, his days are like grass; he flourishes like a flower of the field;for the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place knows it no more.
