But this I say, brethren, the time is shortened, that henceforth both those that have wives may be as though they had none;

第有一語、不得不為兄弟告者、即人生在世、為日無多；故有妻當若無妻、

What I mean, brothers and sisters, is that the time is short. From now on those who have wives should live as if they do not;

This is what I mean, brothers: the appointed time has grown very short. From now on, let those who have wives live as though they had none,

This is the end of the matter; all hath been heard: fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.For God will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: In the morning they are like grass which groweth up.In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; In the evening it is cut down, and withereth.For we are consumed in thine anger, And in thy wrath are we troubled.Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, Our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: We bring our years to an end as a sigh.The days of our years are threescore years and ten, Or even by reason of strength fourscore years; Yet is their pride but labor and sorrow; For it is soon gone, and we fly away.

The voice of one saying, Cry. And one said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field.The grass withereth, the flower fadeth, because the breath of Jehovah bloweth upon it; surely the people is grass.The grass withereth, the flower fadeth; but the word of our God shall stand forever.

For, All flesh is as grass, And all the glory thereof as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower falleth:

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, whither thou goest.

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore of sound mind, and be sober unto prayer:

But forget not this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to you- ward, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

and the dust returneth to the earth as it was, and the spirit returneth unto God who gave it.Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher; all is vanity.

For who knoweth what is good for man in his life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?

Behold, Jehovah maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the creditor, so with the debtor; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest to him.

Man, that is born of a woman, Is of few days, and full of trouble.He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: He fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.

As for man, his days are as grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; And the place thereof shall know it no more.
