如果一個人蒙召的時候已經受了割禮，就不應該取消割禮的記號；如果一個人蒙召的時候沒有受割禮，就不應該受割禮。

有人已受割礼蒙召呢，就不要废割礼；有人未受割礼蒙召呢，就不要受割礼。

有人受割礼后才蒙召，他就不必除去割礼的记号。有人未受割礼前蒙召，他就不必受割礼。

人已受割禮而蒙召乎、則勿廢割禮、未受割禮而蒙召乎、則勿受割禮、

兄弟蒙召時已領割禮乎、則勿求恢復原狀。蒙召時未領割禮乎則終身勿割。

Was a man already circumcised when he was called? He should not become uncircumcised. Was a man uncircumcised when he was called? He should not be circumcised.

Was a man already circumcised when God chose him? Then he should not become uncircumcised. Was he uncircumcised when God chose him? Then he should not be circumcised.

Was anyone at the time of his call already circumcised? Let him not seek to remove the marks of circumcision. Was anyone at the time of his call uncircumcised? Let him not seek circumcision.

For instance, a man who was circumcised before he became a believer should not try to reverse it. And the man who was uncircumcised when he became a believer should not be circumcised now.

Was anyone already circumcised when he was called? He should not undo his circumcision. Was anyone called while uncircumcised? He should not get circumcised.

Was any man called when he was already circumcised? He is not to become uncircumcised. Has anyone been called in uncircumcision? He is not to be circumcised.

Was anyone called while circumcised? Let him not become uncircumcised. Was anyone called while uncircumcised? Let him not be circumcised.

Was any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Hath any been called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.

Was anyone already circumcised when he was called? He should not undo his circumcision. Was anyone called while uncircumcised? He should not get circumcised.

Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.

Was anyone called after he had been circumcised? He should not try to undo his circumcision. Was anyone called who is uncircumcised? He should not get circumcised.

Was anyone called having been circumcised? Let him not become uncircumcised. Has anyone been called in uncircumcision? Let him not be circumcised.

但法利賽教派中的一些信徒站起來，說：「必須給外邦人行割禮，並吩咐他們遵守摩西的律法。」

因此，我判定不可為難那些歸向神的外邦人，

因為聖靈和我們都認為，除了以下幾件必須遵守的事以外，不該把更多的重擔加給你們：

我們聽說從我們這裡出去的一些人，用一些話使你們不安，攪擾你們的心靈。其實我們沒有吩咐他們。

基督釋放了我們，使我們得自由。所以你們當站立得穩，不要再被奴役的軛所束縛。看，我保羅告訴你們：如果你們要受割禮，基督就對你們毫無益處了。我再次忠告每一個受割禮的人：他有責任遵行全部律法。

有一些人從猶太下來，教導弟兄們說：「你們如果不按摩西的規矩受割禮，就不能得救。」保羅、巴拿巴與他們發生了不小的爭執和辯論，他們就指定保羅、巴拿巴和其中的另一些人為這爭議的問題，上耶路撒冷到使徒們和長老們那裡去。

在這裡沒有希臘人和猶太人，受割禮的和不受割禮的，外族人、塞西亞人、奴隸、自由人；而基督就是一切，也在一切之中。
