Instead, does a Christian sue a Christian, and do this before unbelievers?

而弟兄和弟兄竟相控告，又在不信的人面前啊？

乃兄弟相訟、且於不信者前乎、

乃兄弟爭訟且訟於不信者前乎、

乃兄弟與兄弟相訟、且於不信者前歟、

而必欲對簿於外教人之前乎？

But instead, one brother takes another to court— and this in front of unbelievers!

Instead, one believer goes to court against another. And this happens in front of unbelievers!

but brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers?

But instead, one believer sues another— right in front of unbelievers!

Instead, brother goes to court against brother, and that before unbelievers!

but brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers?

But brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers!

but brother goeth to law with brother, and that before unbelievers?

Instead, believer goes to court against believer, and that before unbelievers!

The next day Moses saw two men fighting, and tried to make peace between them, saying,‘ Men, you are brothers; why are you hurting one another?’

Do everything without grumbling or arguing,so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without blemish though you live in a crooked and perverse society, in which you shine as lights in the world

The fact that you have lawsuits among yourselves demonstrates that you have already been defeated. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?

Then he sent his brothers on their way and they left. He said to them,“ As you travel don’t be overcome with fear.”

The one who says he is in the light but still hates his fellow Christian is still in the darkness.The one who loves his fellow Christian resides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him.But the one who hates his fellow Christian is in the darkness, walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

Do not become partners with those who do not believe, for what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship does light have with darkness?

So there were quarrels between Abram’s herdsmen and Lot’s herdsmen.( Now the Canaanites and the Perizzites were living in the land at that time.)Abram said to Lot,“ Let there be no quarreling between me and you, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen, for we are close relatives.Is not the whole land before you? Separate yourself now from me. If you go to the left, then I’ll go to the right, but if you go to the right, then I’ll go to the left.”

Fo r this is the gospel message that you have heard from the beginning: that we should love one another,not like Cain who was of the evil one and brutally murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his deeds were evil, but his brother’s were righteous.Therefore do not be surprised, brothers and sisters, if the world hates you.We know that we have crossed over from death to life because we love our fellow Christians. The one who does not love remains in death.Everyone who hates his fellow Christian is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.

I said to them,“ To the extent possible we have bought back our fellow Jews who had been sold to the Gentiles. But now you yourselves want to sell your own countrymen, so that we can then buy them back!” They were utterly silent, and could find nothing to say.Then I said,“ The thing that you are doing is wrong! Should you not conduct yourselves in the fear of our God in order to avoid the reproach of the Gentiles who are our enemies?

When any of you has a legal dispute with another, does he dare go to court before the unrighteous rather than before the saints?

Look! How good and how pleasant it is when brothers live together!It is like fine oil poured on the head which flows down the beard– Aaron’s beard, and then flows down his garments.It is like the dew of Hermon, which flows down upon the hills of Zion. Indeed that is where the LORD has decreed a blessing will be available– eternal life.
