豈不知你們的身體就是聖靈的殿嗎？你們裡面住著上帝所賜的聖靈。你們不再屬於自己，

豈不知你們就是上帝的殿，上帝的靈住在你們裡面嗎？

所以，不要讓罪辖制你們必死的身體，使你們順從身體的私慾；

豈不知入口的東西都是進到肚子裡，然後排泄到廁所裡嗎？

因為丈夫是妻子的頭，正如基督是祂的身體——教會的頭，又是教會的救主。

難道你們不知道你們的身體就是基督的肢體嗎？我能將基督的肢體與妓女的肢體聯合嗎？絕對不能！

上帝的旨意是要你們聖潔，遠避淫亂的事，要你們人人都知道持守身體的聖潔和尊貴，不可荒淫縱慾，像那些不認識上帝的外族人一樣。你們在這種事上不可越軌，虧負弟兄姊妹。我們曾經對你們說過，並且鄭重地警告過你們，主必懲治犯這種罪的人。因為上帝呼召我們不是要我們沾染污穢，而是要我們聖潔。

這些規條不過是人的戒律和說教，經不起實踐的考驗，看似充滿智慧，其實只不過是自創的宗教、自表謙卑、苦待己身，對於克制邪情私慾毫無用處。

因為上帝的國不是關乎吃什麼喝什麼，而是關乎公義、平安和聖靈所賜的喜樂。

因為不能進入他的心，只能進他的腸胃，最後會排出來，也就是說所有的食物都是潔淨的。

不要為那必壞的食物勞苦，要為那存到永生的食物，就是人子要賜給你們的食物勞苦，因為父上帝把這權柄交給了人子。」

因為我們沒有人為自己活，也沒有人為自己死。我們活是為主而活，死是為主而死。因此，我們無論生死都是屬主的人。正是為這個緣故，基督死了，又復活了，好做死人和活人的主。

所以，弟兄姊妹，我憑上帝的憐憫勸你們獻上自己的身體，作聖潔、蒙上帝悅納的活祭。你們理當這樣事奉。

你們的祖先在曠野吃過嗎哪，還是死了。

我的弟兄姊妹，同樣，你們藉著基督的身體向著律法也死了，使你們可以歸於那位從死裡復活的基督，好為上帝結果子。

祂為眾人死，是要叫那些活著的人不再為自己活，而是要為替他們死而復活的基督活。

這些東西才使人污穢。不洗手吃飯並不會使人污穢。」

他們都吃過同樣的靈糧，都喝過同樣的靈水，因為他們從那與他們同行的屬靈磐石中得水喝，那磐石就是基督。儘管如此，他們當中大多數人不討上帝的喜悅，倒斃在曠野。

我要求你們忠貞不渝，正如上帝要求祂的子民忠貞不渝一樣。因為我曾把你們當作貞潔的少女許配給一位丈夫——基督。
