其實主若有這旨意，我就會趕快去的；並且我所要知道的、並不是那些自吹自大之人的話語，而是他們的能力。

But I will come to you very soon, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only how these arrogant people are talking, but what power they have.

卻辭別他們說：『上帝若准許，我還要回到你們這裏來的』。於是開船離了以弗所，

這些事完了、保羅心靈上定了主意、經過馬其頓亞該亞，就要往耶路撒冷去；他說：『我到了那裏以後，必須也看看羅馬。』

這是我第三次要到你們那裏去的。『各樣事實都必須憑着兩個或三個見證人親口所說以確定的。』我從前說過，如今又豫先聲明：對那些從前犯了罪的、和其餘各人，我第二次和你們同在時怎麼樣，如今不同在時也怎麼樣：我若再來，必不寬惜。你們既尋求基督在我裏面說話的經驗證據，我就說：基督對於你們並不是軟弱；他在你們中間是大有能力的。他固然由於軟弱而被釘十字架，卻由於上帝之大能力仍然活着。我們呢、我們在他裏面雖也軟弱，但由於上帝之大能力、我們卻要和他一同活着來服事你們。

上帝若准許，我們就這樣行。

有些人自吹自大，以為我不去找你們了。

你們倒應當說：『若是主的旨意，我們就會活着，就可以作這事或那事』。

既走遍了那些區域，用許多話鼓勵他們，就來到希臘。

但是為了我自己呢、我已經決定、不要再讓你們憂愁而到你們那裏去。因為我若讓你們憂愁，誰能使我快樂呢？不是那因我而成為憂愁的你們是誰呢？

若有人餓了，要在家裏喫，免得你們聚攏來、自受定罪。其餘的事、我甚麼時候來了再規定。

我願你們都能捲舌頭說話，但更願你們傳講神言。因為捲舌頭說話的、除非解釋出來、使教會得建立，那傳講神言的就比他強。

並使我、憑着上帝的旨意、歡歡喜喜到你們那裏，同你們交往而得休息。

我指着我的性命呼求上帝作證，我沒有再往哥林多去、是顧惜你們。

既有了這樣的深信，我早就有意思要先到你們那裏去、讓你們重得恩惠；就是、我要從你們那裏經過、上馬其頓；再從馬其頓回到你們那裏，然後蒙你們送行、往猶太去。那麼我既有了這個意思，難道還有輕浮的態度麼？還是我所定的意是按着肉體而定意，以致在我也有忽是忽非麼？

我現在正從馬其頓經過；我經過了馬其頓以後，就要到你們那裏去，

其實在成熟的人中間、我們倒也講智慧。可不是今世的智慧，又不是今世那些漸被消滅的執政者的智慧；
