向他們告別，說：「如果神願意，我會再回到你們這裡來。」就從以弗所起航了。

這些事過了以後，保羅受了聖靈的感動決定要經過馬其頓省和亞該亞省，到耶路撒冷去。他說：「我到那裡以後，也必須去羅馬看看。」

這是我第三次到你們那裡去。「任何事，憑兩個或三個見證人的口，才能成立。」我先前說過了，現在雖然我不在你們那裡，還要像第二次在你們那裡的時候一樣，預先警告那些從前犯了罪的人和所有其餘的人：我如果再來，不會顧惜！這是因為你們尋找基督在我裡面說話的憑證。基督對你們並不是軟弱的；相反，他在你們中間是有大能的。實際上，基督雖然在軟弱中被釘十字架，但他卻在神的大能中活著。的確，我們雖然在基督裡也軟弱，但為了你們，我們卻在神的大能中，將要與基督一同活著。

神如果准許，我們就這麼做。

有些人以為我不會到你們那裡去，他們就自我膨脹。

你們倒應該說：「主如果願意，我們就將活著，做這事或做那事。」

他走遍了那些地區，用很多的話鼓勵門徒們，就來到希臘，

所以，我自己這樣決定：不再帶著憂傷到你們那裡去。因為如果我使你們憂傷，那麼，除了我使他憂傷的那個人，誰能使我歡喜呢？

如果有人餓了，就應當在家裡吃，免得你們聚集，反導致懲罰。至於其他的事，當我來的時候才吩咐。

我雖然希望你們都說殊言，但更希望你們都做先知傳道。因為，除非說殊言的能把殊言翻譯出來使教會得到造就，否則那做先知傳道的就比說殊言的更大了。

好讓我能照著神的旨意，快快樂樂地到你們那裡去，和你們同得安息。

我求告神為我的靈魂見證：我沒有再往哥林多去，是因為顧惜你們。

藉著這樣的確信，我早就打算先到你們那裡去，使你們能得到兩次的恩典：就是經過你們那裡往馬其頓省去，再從馬其頓省回到你們那裡，然後由你們送我上路去猶太。那麼，我這樣打算，難道就是輕率行事嗎？難道我所計劃的，是順著肉體的計劃，以致在我忽是忽非嗎？

我經過馬其頓省以後，就會到你們那裡去——因為我要經過馬其頓省——

然而，在成熟的人中間，我們也講智慧，但不是這世代的智慧，也不是這世代中將要被廢除的那些統治者的智慧。
