實際上，我們不是傳揚自己，而是傳揚主耶穌基督，並且為了耶穌的緣故，我們自己做了你們的奴僕；

我誠然是自由的，不屬於任何人，但我使自己成為所有人的奴僕，為了贏得更多的人。對猶太人，我就成為一個像猶太人那樣的人，為了贏得猶太人；對律法之下的人，雖然我自己不在律法之下，我卻成為一個像是在律法之下的人，為了贏得在律法之下的人；對沒有律法的人，我就成為一個像是沒有律法的人那樣，為了贏得沒有律法的人——對神，我不是沒有律法的，而是在基督的律法之下。對軟弱的人，我就成為軟弱的人，為了贏得軟弱的人。對什麼樣的人，我就成為什麼樣的人，一定要拯救一些人。

因為對我來說，活著就是基督，死去就有益處。

他賜下一些人做使徒，一些人做先知傳道，一些人做傳福音者，一些人做牧人或教師，為了要裝備聖徒去做服事的工作，以建立基督的身體；

然而，靠著愛我們的那一位，我們在這一切事上已經得勝有餘了。事實上，我深信：無論是死、是生、是天使、是統治者、是現在的事、是將來的事、是有勢力的、是高處的、是深處的，或是任何別的被造之物，都不能使我們與神的愛分開，這愛是在我們主基督耶穌裡的。

其實阿波羅算什麼？保羅算什麼？都是僕人；藉著他們，你們信了，是照著主所賜給每個人的。我栽種了，阿波羅澆灌了，然而使之生長的還是神。所以，除了使之生長的神，那栽種的和那澆灌的都算不得什麼。栽種的和澆灌的都一樣，只是將來每個人要照著自己的勞苦得自己的報償。

這就是說：你們各自聲稱「我是屬保羅的」，或「我是屬阿波羅的」，或「我是屬磯法的」，或「我是屬基督的」。
