Now we do speak wisdom among the mature, but not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are perishing.

然我言智於成人、非斯世之智、亦非斯世掌權者之智、以其必敗也、

吾儕傳智於練達之人、但非此世之智、亦非在世有司之智、以其必敗也、

然我儕與全備之人無不言智慧、但非斯世之智慧、亦非斯世有權位終必滅者之智慧、

雖然、吾人所傳之道、在完善之人視之、乃真智慧也；非斯世之智慧、亦非世上王公大人終歸烏有者之智慧。

We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

The words we speak to those who have grown in the faith are wise. Our words are different from the wisdom of this world. Our words are different from those of the rulers of this world. These rulers are becoming less and less powerful.

Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away.

Yet when I am among mature believers, I do speak with words of wisdom, but not the kind of wisdom that belongs to this world or to the rulers of this world, who are soon forgotten.

We do, however, speak a wisdom among the mature, but not a wisdom of this age, or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away;

However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

We speak wisdom, however, among them that are fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nought:

Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

We speak wisdom, however, among those who are full grown, yet a wisdom not of this world nor of the rulers of this world who are coming to nothing.

God chose what is low and despised in the world, what is regarded as nothing, to set aside what is regarded as something,

But solid food is for the mature, whose perceptions are trained by practice to discern both good and evil.

For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.For it is written,“ I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will thwart the cleverness of the intelligent.”Where is the wise man? Where is the expert in the Mosaic law? Where is the debater of this age? Has God not made the wisdom of the world foolish?

among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of those who do not believe so they would not see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God.

And, after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christ will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, natural, demonic.

Not that I have already attained this– that is, I have not already been perfected– but I strive to lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus also laid hold of me.Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have attained this. Instead I am single- minded: Forgetting the things that are behind and reaching out for the things that are ahead,with this goal in mind, I strive toward the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.Therefore let those of us who are“ perfect” embrace this point of view. If you think otherwise, God will reveal to you the error of your ways.

It was he who gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers,to equip the saints for the work of ministry, that is, to build up the body of Christ,until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God– a mature person, attaining to the measure of Christ’s full stature.

He leads priests away stripped and overthrows the potentates.

So then, be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Epaphras, who is one of you and a slave of Christ, greets you. He is always struggling in prayer on your behalf, so that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.

in which you formerly lived according to this world’s present path, according to the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the ruler of the spirit that is now energizing the sons of disobedience,

He pours contempt on noblemen and disarms the powerful.

Why do the nations rebel? Why are the countries devising plots that will fail?The kings of the earth form a united front; the rulers collaborate against the LORD and his anointed king.They say,“ Let’s tear off the shackles they’ve put on us! Let’s free ourselves from their ropes!”The one enthroned in heaven laughs in disgust; the Lord taunts them.Then he angrily speaks to them and terrifies them in his rage, saying,“ I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill.”

None of the rulers of this age understood it. If they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

For we all stumble in many ways. If someone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect individual, able to control the entire body as well.

The LORD frustrates the decisions of the nations; he nullifies the plans of the peoples.

There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job. And that man was pure and upright, one who feared God and turned away from evil.

For our reason for confidence is this: the testimony of our conscience, that with pure motives and sincerity which are from God– not by human wisdom but by the grace of God– we conducted ourselves in the world, and all the more toward you.

The officials of Zoan are nothing but fools; Pharaoh’s wise advisers give stupid advice. How dare you say to Pharaoh,“ I am one of the sages, one well-versed in the writings of the ancient kings?”But where, oh where, are your wise men? Let them tell you, let them find out what the LORD who commands armies has planned for Egypt.The officials of Zoan are fools, the officials of Memphis are misled; the rulers of her tribes lead Egypt astray.

The master commended the dishonest manager because he acted shrewdly. For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their contemporaries than the people of light.

When I came to you, brothers and sisters, I did not come with superior eloquence or wisdom as I proclaimed the testimony of God.

Brothers and sisters, do not be children in your thinking. Instead, be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature.

And we speak about these things, not with words taught us by human wisdom, but with those taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual things to spiritual people.

The seed sown among thorns is the person who hears the word, but worldly cares and the seductiveness of wealth choke the word, so it produces nothing.

Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice, set things right, be encouraged, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.

who said by the Holy Spirit through your servant David our forefather,‘ Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot foolish things?The kings of the earth stood together, and the rulers assembled together, against the Lord and against his Christ.’“ For indeed both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, assembled together in this city against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed,to do as much as your power and your plan had decided beforehand would happen.

Take note of the one who has integrity! Observe the godly! For the one who promotes peace has a future.

Jesus said to him,“ If you wish to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

He is the one who reduces rulers to nothing; he makes the earth’s leaders insignificant.
