Instead we speak the wisdom of God, hidden in a mystery, that God determined before the ages for our glory.

所言者上帝奧妙之智、即昔所隱、上帝於萬世之先、預定以榮我儕者也、

所言者、上帝秘奧之智、古昔上帝所預定榮我者、

我儕密言天主隱秘之智慧、於萬世以先、天主所預定以榮我者也、

吾人所傳者、乃玄妙幽微之智慧、即天主在有世以前留為吾人誇耀之智慧也。

No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.

But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory.

On the contrary, we speak God’s hidden wisdom in a mystery, a wisdom God predestined before the ages for our glory.

On the contrary, we speak God’s hidden wisdom in a mystery, a wisdom God predestined before the ages for our glory.

that is, the mystery that has been kept hidden from ages and generations, but has now been revealed to his saints.God wanted to make known to them the glorious riches of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

I can pray this because his divine power has bestowed on us everything necessary for life and godliness through the rich knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and excellence.

Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that had been kept secret for long ages,but now is disclosed, and through the prophetic scriptures has been made known to all the nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith–

This fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet:“ I will open my mouth in parables, I will announce what has been hidden from the foundation of the world.”

I will sing a song that imparts wisdom; I will make insightful observations about the past.

For he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we may be holy and unblemished in his sight in love.

At that time Jesus said,“ I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to little children.

And, after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christ will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

When reading this, you will be able to understand my insight into this secret of Christ.Now this secret was not disclosed to people in former generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit,namely, that through the gospel the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus.I became a servant of this gospel according to the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the exercise of his power.To me– less than the least of all the saints– this grace was given, to proclaim to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christand to enlighten everyone about God’s secret plan– a secret that has been hidden for ages in God who has created all things.

He is the one who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not based on our works but on his own purpose and grace, granted to us in Christ Jesus before time began,

You have heard; now look at all the evidence! Will you not admit that what I say is true? From this point on I am announcing to you new events that are previously unrevealed and you do not know about.Now they come into being, not in the past; before today you did not hear about them, so you could not say,‘ Yes, I know about them.’

and all those who live on the earth will worship the beast, everyone whose name has not been written since the foundation of the world in the book of life belonging to the Lamb who was killed.

So as your fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings and as one who shares in the glory that will be revealed, I urge the elders among you:

They probed into what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating when he testified beforehand about the sufferings appointed for Christ and his subsequent glory.
