Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve and send them with your gift to Jerusalem.

they begged us earnestly for the privilege of sharing in the ministry to the saints,

But I will come to you soon, if the Lord wills, and I will find out not the talk, but the power of those who are arrogant.For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.What do you want? Should I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?

So we urged Titus that just as he had begun, so he should also complete among you this act of grace.

So they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolaus, a convert from Antioch.They had them stand before the apostles, who prayed and laid their hands on them.
