Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve and send them with your gift to Jerusalem.

When I arrive, I will send some people with your gift to Jerusalem. They will be people you consider to be good. And I will give them letters that explain who they are.

And when I arrive, I will send those whom you accredit by letter to carry your gift to Jerusalem.

When I come, I will write letters of recommendation for the messengers you choose to deliver your gift to Jerusalem.

And we have sent together with him the brother whose praise in the gospel is spread through all the churches;and not only so, but who was also appointed by the churches to travel with us in the matter of this grace, which is ministered by us to the glory of the Lord, and to show our readiness:avoiding this, that any man should blame us in the matter of this bounty which is ministered by us:for we take thought for things honorable, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have many times proved earnest in many things, but now much more earnest, by reason of the great confidence which he hath in you.Whether any inquire about Titus, he is my partner and my fellow- worker to you- ward; or our brethren, they are the messengers of the churches, they are the glory of Christ.Show ye therefore unto them in the face of the churches the proof of your love, and of our glorying on your behalf.

beseeching us with much entreaty in regard of this grace and the fellowship in the ministering to the saints:

But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will; and I will know, not the word of them that are puffed up, but the power.For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?

Insomuch that we exhorted Titus, that as he had made a beginning before, so he would also complete in you this grace also.

If any man is hungry, let him eat at home; that your coming together be not unto judgment. And the rest will I set in order whensoever I come.

Now in these days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a murmuring of the Grecian Jews against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.And the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not fit that we should forsake the word of God, and serve tables.Look ye out therefore, brethren, from among you seven men of good report, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.But we will continue stedfastly in prayer, and in the ministry of the word.And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolaus a proselyte of Antioch;whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands upon them.
