交叉引用

  • John 13:34-35
“ I give you a new command. Love one another. You must love one another, just as I have loved you.If you love one another, everyone will know you are my disciples.”
  • Galatians 5:13-14
My brothers and sisters, you were chosen to be free. But don’t use your freedom as an excuse to live under the power of sin. Instead, serve one another in love. The whole law is fulfilled by obeying this one command.“ Love your neighbor as you love yourself.”( Leviticus 19:18)
  • 1 Peter 4 8
Most of all, love one another deeply. Love erases many sins by forgiving them.
  • 1 Corinthians 12 31-1 Corinthians 14 1
But above all, you should want the more important gifts. But now I will show you the best way of all.Suppose I speak in the languages of human beings or of angels. If I don’t have love, I am only a loud gong or a noisy cymbal.Suppose I have the gift of prophecy. Suppose I can understand all the secret things of God and know everything about him. And suppose I have enough faith to move mountains. If I don’t have love, I am nothing at all.Suppose I give everything I have to poor people. And suppose I give myself over to a difficult life so I can brag. If I don’t have love, I get nothing at all.Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not want what belongs to others. It does not brag. It is not proud. It does not dishonor other people. It does not look out for its own interests. It does not easily become angry. It does not keep track of other people’s wrongs.Love is not happy with evil. But it is full of joy when the truth is spoken. It always protects. It always trusts. It always hopes. It never gives up.Love never fails. But prophecy will pass away. Speaking in languages that had not been known before will end. And knowledge will pass away. What we know now is not complete. What we prophesy now is not perfect. But when what is complete comes, the things that are not complete will pass away. When I was a child, I talked like a child. I thought like a child. I had the understanding of a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.Now we see only a dim likeness of things. It is as if we were seeing them in a foggy mirror. But someday we will see clearly. We will see face to face. What I know now is not complete. But someday I will know completely, just as God knows me completely. The three most important things to have are faith, hope and love. But the greatest of them is love.Follow the way of love. You should also want the gifts the Holy Spirit gives. Most of all, you should want the gift of prophecy.
  • Romans 13:8-10
Pay everything you owe. But you can never pay back all the love you owe one another. Whoever loves other people has done everything the law requires. Here are some commandments to think about.“ Do not commit adultery.”“ Do not commit murder.”“ Do not steal.”“ Do not want what belongs to others.”( Exodus 20:13–15, 17; Deuteronomy 5:17–19, 21) These and all other commands are included in one command. Here’s what it is.“ Love your neighbor as you love yourself.”( Leviticus 19:18)Love does not harm its neighbor. So love does everything the law requires.

So does belonging to Christ help you in any way? Does his love comfort you at all? Do you share anything in common because of the Holy Spirit? Has Christ ever been gentle and loving toward you?If any of these things has happened to you, then agree with one another. Have the same love. Be one in spirit and in the way you think and act. By doing this, you will make my joy complete.Don’t do anything only to get ahead. Don’t do it because you are proud. Instead, be humble. Value others more than yourselves.
