在嘹亮的号角声中，他要差派他的天使们从四方，从天这边到天那边，召集他所拣选的人。

因为在发令的呼喊声中，在天使长的声音和神的号角声中，主要亲自从天降临，而且那些在基督里死去的人要先复活，然后我们这些还活着存留的人，要与他们一同被提到云里，在空中与主相会。这样，我们就要永远与主在一起了。

“我确确实实地告诉你们：时候就要到了，现在就是了！当死人听见神儿子的声音时，听到的人就将活了。

你们不要为此感到惊奇：时候就要到了！那时所有在坟墓里的人，都会听到他的声音，

到那日，必有大号角吹响，那些在亚述地快要灭亡的，以及那些被驱赶到埃及地的都要来，在耶路撒冷的圣山敬拜耶和华。

不过，主的日子要来临，就像贼来临那样。在那日，诸天要轰然一声地消逝，天体将被火焚烧而废除，地和地上的作为也都将被暴露出来。

死人的复活也是这样：在衰朽中被种下，在不朽中复活；

我又观看，就听见一只在空中飞翔的鹰大声说：“有祸了！有祸了！住在地上的人有祸了！因为三位天使快要吹响其余的号角。”

第六位天使吹响号角，我就听见一个声音从神面前金祭坛的四只角传来，对拿着号角的第六位天使说：“把那捆绑在幼发拉底大河的四个使者释放出来！”

接着，我看见站在神面前的七位天使，被赐予了七支号角。

一切世上的居民，在地上居住的人哪，山上竖起旗帜时，你们要看！号角吹响时，你们要听！

他们怎么在一瞬间就成了废墟呢？他们被恐怖的事彻底扫除！

弟兄们，我要说这一点：血肉之体不能继承神的国，衰朽的也不能继承不朽的。
