吾願爾眾、言諸國方言、最要者設教、蓋設教、較之言諸國方言為大、如言諸國方言、則當自譯、使會獲益、

吾固願爾等皆能操方言、顧吾尤望爾等能作預言。蓋操方言者、苟非自譯以裨會眾、則不若預言之為愈也。

I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be edified.

如是、爾曹既慕神之恩賜、則多求其能建教會之德者、是以言方言者、祈禱亦當解之、祈禱亦當解之或作當求能解之

自幼事摩西者、嫩之子約書亞謂摩西曰、請我主摩西禁之、摩西謂之曰、爾為我嫉之乎、願主之眾民悉感神而言、主皆以其神賦之、

爾當求愛、且慕神之恩賜、更慕為先知講道、

天主立人於教會、一使徒、二先知、三教師、有行異能者、有得醫病之能者、與佐事者、治理者、言方言者、豈皆為使徒乎、皆為先知乎、皆為教師乎、皆得醫病之能乎、皆言方言乎、皆解方言乎、

為先知講道者、乃向人言、以建德、以勸勉、以安慰、言方言者、建己之德、為先知講道者、建教會之德、
