你们要让基督的话语丰丰富富地住在你们里面，要用一切的智慧彼此教导、劝诫，怀着感恩的心，以诗篇、圣诗、属灵的诗歌来歌颂神。

然而，时候就要到了，现在就是了！那时真正敬拜的人，要在灵里和真理中敬拜父，因为父就是想要这样的人来敬拜他。神是灵，敬拜他的人必须在灵里和真理中敬拜。”

你们要以各样的祷告和祈求，藉着圣灵时刻祈祷；而且为此警醒，以极大的忍耐，为所有圣徒祈求，

为此，不要做愚妄的人，而要领悟主的旨意是什么。不要醉酒，醉酒带来放荡，而要被圣灵充满：用诗篇、圣诗、属灵的诗歌彼此对说，从你们的心里，歌颂赞美主；奉我们主耶稣基督的名，为一切常常感谢父神；

至于你们蒙爱的人哪，要在你们至圣的信仰上造就自己，藉着圣灵祷告，

所以弟兄们，我藉着神的各样怜悯劝你们，要把自己的身体献上，做为圣洁、蒙神喜悦的活祭；这是你们理所当然的事奉。不要效法这世代，要藉着理性的更新而改变，使你们可以分辨什么是神的旨意——那美善、可喜悦、完美的旨意。

因为神是全地的王。你们当用智慧诗来歌颂他！

但是在教会里，为了要教导别人，我宁愿用我的理性说五句话，也不愿用殊言说万句话。

那么，我怎么说呢？难道说祭过偶像的食物算得了什么吗？或说，偶像算得了什么吗？

但是，如果我按人的意思来说，我们的不义可以显明神的义，那我们要怎么说呢？难道降震怒的神是不公正的吗？

这到底有什么关系呢？只是在各种方法中，无论是假意还是真心，基督都被传开了；我为此就欢喜，并且还要欢喜，

那么，对这些事我们要怎么说呢？神如果支持我们，谁还能反对我们呢？

事实上，神——就是我在他儿子的福音工作上用心灵所事奉的那一位，可以为我见证：我怎样不住地提到你们，
