For if I pray in tongues, my spirit is praying, but I don’t understand what I am saying.

我若用方言祷告，是我的灵祷告，但我的悟性没有果效。

我若用方言祷告，是我的灵在祷告；但我的理智没有效果。

我若用方言祷告，是我的灵在祷告；但我的理智没有效果。

如果我用方言祷告，那是我的灵在祷告，但我的悟性没有发挥作用。

我若用方言祷告，是我的灵在祷告，我的理智并没有作用。

如果我用殊言祷告，是我的灵在祷告，但我的理性却是结不出果子的。

我若用方言禱告，是我的靈禱告，但我的悟性沒有果效。

我若用方言禱告，是我的靈在禱告；但我的理智沒有效果。

我若用方言禱告，是我的靈在禱告；但我的理智沒有效果。

如果我用方言禱告，那是我的靈在禱告，但我的悟性沒有發揮作用。

我若用方言禱告，是我的靈在禱告，我的理智並沒有作用。

因為我若捲舌頭禱告，只是我的靈禱告，我的心思並不發生果效。

如果我用殊言禱告，是我的靈在禱告，但我的理性卻是結不出果子的。

如我以方言祈禱、是乃我心祈禱、而知識無所裨益、

如用諸國方言祈禱、是第以心祈禱、而所言之意、無益於人、

我若以方言祈禱、則我神祈禱、而我心無益、

蓋吾若以方言祈禱、則吾之心魂誠禱矣、而吾之理智則未受其益也。

For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.

If I pray in another language, my spirit prays. But my mind does not pray.

Well then, what shall I do? I will pray in the spirit, and I will also pray in words I understand. I will sing in the spirit, and I will also sing in words I understand.For if you praise God only in the spirit, how can those who don’t understand you praise God along with you? How can they join you in giving thanks when they don’t understand what you are saying?

For if you have the ability to speak in tongues, you will be talking only to God, since people won’t be able to understand you. You will be speaking by the power of the Spirit, but it will all be mysterious.

But in a church meeting I would rather speak five understandable words to help others than ten thousand words in an unknown language.
