If I speak human or angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

我若能说万人的方言，并天使的话语，却没有爱，我就成了鸣的锣，响的钹一般。

即使我能說人類和天使的各種語言，如果沒有愛，我不過像咣咣作響的鑼和鈸。

假使我用人之捲舌頭說話、甚至於用天使的語言來說話，卻沒有愛，我就成了鳴的鑼響的鈸一般。

如果我能說人間和天使的各種殊言，卻沒有愛，我就成了嘈雜的鑼、鳴響的鈸；

我若能言諸國諸天使之言而無愛、則猶鳴金響鈸、

我如能言諸國方言、與天使之言、而無仁、則猶鳴金敲鈸、

我雖能言世人及天使之言、若無愛、則如鳴鉦響鈸、

使我無愛德、而徒能操萬國之音、作天神之語、則猶鳴鑼擊鈸而已矣。

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

Suppose I speak in the languages of human beings or of angels. If I don’t have love, I am only a loud gong or a noisy cymbal.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

If I speak with the tongues of mankind and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

Now the goal of our instruction is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith.

Above all, maintain constant love for one another, since love covers a multitude of sins.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

If I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing.And if I give away all my possessions, and if I give over my body in order to boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision accomplishes anything; what matters is faith working through love.

Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that“ we all have knowledge.” Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.

So now, brothers and sisters, if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you unless I speak to you with a revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching?Even lifeless instruments that produce sounds— whether flute or harp— if they don’t make a distinction in the notes, how will what is played on the flute or harp be recognized?In fact, if the bugle makes an unclear sound, who will prepare for battle?

For by uttering boastful, empty words, they seduce, with fleshly desires and debauchery, people who have barely escaped from those who live in error.

“ Then he will answer them,‘ Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all do miracles?Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?

to one is given a message of wisdom through the Spirit, to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit,

For if your brother or sister is hurt by what you eat, you are no longer walking according to love. Do not destroy, by what you eat, someone for whom Christ died.

was caught up into paradise and heard inexpressible words, which a human being is not allowed to speak.

And if the ear should say,“ Because I’m not an eye, I don’t belong to the body,” it is not for that reason any less a part of the body.
