And suppose the ear says,“ I am not an eye. So I don’t belong to the body.” By saying this, it cannot stop being part of the body.

设若耳说：“我不是眼，所以不属乎身子，”它也不能因此就不属乎身子。

假如耳朵说：“我不是眼睛，所以不属于身体”，它也不能因此就不属于身体。

假如耳朵说：“我不是眼睛，所以不属于身体”，它也不能因此就不属于身体。

如果耳朵说：“我不是眼睛，所以我不属于身体。”难道耳朵就因此不属于身体吗？

假如耳朵说：“我不是眼睛，所以我不属于身体。”它也不能因此就不属于身体。

如果耳朵说：“因为我不是眼睛，我就不属于身体”，难道它因此就不属于身体吗？

設若耳說：「我不是眼，所以不屬乎身子，」它也不能因此就不屬乎身子。

假如耳朵說：「我不是眼睛，所以不屬於身體」，它也不能因此就不屬於身體。

假如耳朵說：「我不是眼睛，所以不屬於身體」，它也不能因此就不屬於身體。

如果耳朵說：「我不是眼睛，所以我不屬於身體。」難道耳朵就因此不屬於身體嗎？

假如耳朵說：“我不是眼睛，所以我不屬於身體。”它也不能因此就不屬於身體。

設若耳朵說：『我既不是眼睛，就不屬於身體』，它不能因此就不屬於身體啊。

如果耳朵說：「因為我不是眼睛，我就不屬於身體」，難道它因此就不屬於身體嗎？

倘耳云、吾非目、不屬身、亦非果不屬身也、

譬之耳、以謂吾非目不屬身、豈果不屬身乎、

設耳云、我非目、故不屬於身、豈不屬於身乎、

耳曰：『吾既非目、故不屬身、』其果不屬身耶？

And if the ear should say,“ Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body.

And if the ear should say,“ Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body.

And if the ear says,“ I am not part of the body because I am not an eye,” would that make it any less a part of the body?

And if the ear should say,“ Because I’m not an eye, I don’t belong to the body,” it is not for that reason any less a part of the body.

And if the ear says,“ Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body,” it is not for this reason any less a part of the body.

And if the ear should say,“ Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body?

And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; it is not therefore not of the body.

And if the ear should say,“ Because I’m not an eye, I don’t belong to the body,” in spite of this it still belongs to the body.

And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

And if the ear says,“ Since I am not an eye, I am not part of the body,” it does not lose its membership in the body because of that.

If the ear would say,“ Because I’m not the eye, I’m not part of the body,” it’s not therefore not part of the body.

Don’t do anything only to get ahead. Don’t do it because you are proud. Instead, be humble. Value others more than yourselves.

In fact, it is just the opposite. The parts of the body that seem to be weaker are the ones we can’t do without.

God’s grace has been given to me. So here is what I say to every one of you. Don’t think of yourself more highly than you should. Be reasonable when you think about yourself. Keep in mind the faith God has given to each of you.

Love one another deeply. Honor others more than yourselves.
