I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the traditions just as I passed them on to you.

I praise you for being faithful in remembering me. I also praise you for staying true to the teachings of the past. You have stayed true to them, just as I gave them to you.

Now I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I delivered them to you.

是以兄弟當堅立、固守所學之道、或由我儕言、或由我儕書所學者、

今我以此諭爾時、亦告爾、我不能嘉獎爾、因爾會集非致益、乃致損也、

爾若守我所傳爾者、且爾信不虛、則必以此福音得救矣、

兄弟乎、凡有兄弟妄為、不遵由我儕所受之道、我以主耶穌基督之名、命爾當遠之、

兄弟乎、我儕尚有言、我儕因我主耶穌基督、求爾勸爾、既受我儕之教、如何當行而見悅於天主、則宜多求進益、蓋爾知我儕因主耶穌以何誡授爾也、

二人在天主前、義者也、遵主一切誡命禮儀而行、無可指摘、

其子起而稱之為福、其夫亦讚之曰、才德之女甚多、惟爾超越一切、美容屬偽、豔色屬虛、惟敬畏主之女、始得讚譽、所行結善果、可使以享、必因其所為、得讚譽於邑門、

惟各當循天主所賜者、循主所召者而行、我命諸教會亦如是、

今提摩太由爾處返、報我嘉音、言爾有信有愛、又言爾常懷念我儕、切欲見我儕、如我儕之欲見爾、
