我称赞你们，因为你们在一切事上都记念我，并且照着我所传给你们的来持守传统。

爾等事事以予為懷、且能遵守予之教訓、誠可嘉也；

I praise you for remembering me in everything and for holding to the traditions just as I passed them on to you.

I praise you for being faithful in remembering me. I also praise you for staying true to the teachings of the past. You have stayed true to them, just as I gave them to you.

Now I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I delivered them to you.

I am so glad that you always keep me in your thoughts, and that you are following the teachings I passed on to you.

弟兄们，由此可见，你们当站立得稳；你们所领受的传统，无论是藉着我们的话语，还是藉着我们的书信，你们都要持守。

为了这缘故，我派提摩太到你们那里去。他是我在主里又亲爱又忠心的儿子，他会使你们想起我在基督耶稣里的行事为人，正如我在各处、各教会中所教导的。

现在我吩咐以下的事，并不是在称赞你们，因为你们聚集所导致的不是更好，而是更糟。

难道你们没有家，可以在那里吃喝吗？还是你们轻视神的教会，羞辱那些没有什么的人呢？我要对你们怎么说呢？要称赞你们吗？在这事上，我不称赞你们。

如果你们不是毫无理由地相信，而是持守我所传给你们的话语，你们也就会藉着它得救。

弟兄们，我们奉我们主耶稣基督的名吩咐你们，要避开所有过着懒散生活，以及不照着你们从我们领受的传统而生活的弟兄。

此外，弟兄们，我们在主耶稣里请求你们、劝勉你们：既然从我们学到了该怎样行事为人，怎样讨神的喜悦——就像你们也在行的——你们就要更加努力，因为你们知道，我们藉着主耶稣所传给你们的是什么吩咐。

他们两个人在神面前都是义人，遵行主的一切诫命和公义规定，无可指责。

她的儿女起来，称她有福，她的丈夫也称赞她：“才德的女子有许多，但你超越她们所有人！”妩媚是虚假的，美貌是虚幻的；唯有敬畏耶和华的女子必受称赞。愿她享受自己手中的果实，愿她所做的使她在城门口受称赞！

只是当照着主所分给每个人的，以及神所召唤每个人的去行事。我在各教会中也是这样吩咐的。

但是，现在提摩太从你们那里来到我们这里，带来了你们信仰和爱心的好消息，并且说你们总是对我们怀着美好的记忆，切切地想见到我们，就像我们也渴望见到你们那样。
