巿場上賣的肉，你們都可以吃，不必為良心的緣故而詢問什麼，

不要搬來搬去，要固定住在一家，接受那家的款待，因為工人理應得到工錢。「你們無論到哪一個城鎮，如果人們接待你們，就吃他們擺上的飲食。

我以前曾經寫信吩咐你們，不可與淫亂的人交往。我的意思並不是指世上所有淫亂、貪婪、欺詐與祭拜偶像的人。那樣的話，你們將不得不離開這個世界。我的意思是，若有人自稱是信徒，卻淫亂、貪婪、祭拜偶像、毀謗、酗酒、欺詐，你們不要和他們交往，甚至不要和他們一起吃飯。

我們知道主當受敬畏，所以勸人歸信祂。我們的內心如何，上帝知道，我盼望你們的良心也知道。

把那隻肥牛犢牽來宰了，讓我們一同歡宴慶祝！

隨後，他在家設宴款待耶穌，赴宴的人中有許多稅吏和其他人。法利賽人和律法教師就向耶穌的門徒抱怨說：「你們為什麼跟稅吏和罪人一起吃喝呢？」

我們棄絕了見不得人的可恥行為，不用狡詐的手段，不曲解上帝的道，而是把真理講解明白，好讓大家的良心在上帝面前為我們作證。

百姓見狀，都埋怨說：「祂怎麼到一個罪人家裡作客？」

我們不寫任何你們讀不懂、不明白的內容。你們現在對我們有幾分認識，但我盼望你們最終完全認識到：當主耶穌再來的日子，你們將以我們為榮，正如我們將以你們為榮一樣。
