以利亚走到众人面前说：“你们三心二意要到什么时候呢？如果耶和华是上帝，你们当跟从祂；如果巴力是上帝，你们就跟从他吧！”他们都默不作声。

领圣餐时，我们为那福杯献上感谢，这不表示我们有份于基督的血吗？我们吃掰开的饼，这不表示我们有份于基督的身体吗？

祂必说，‘你们的神明在哪里？庇护你们的磐石在哪里？它们吃你们祭牲的脂肪，喝你们的奠酒。让它们起来帮助你们，庇护你们吧！

但至于你们这些背弃我、忘记我的圣山、摆宴供奉幸运之神、调酒祭奠命运之神的人，

基督与魔鬼怎能相容呢？信徒与非信徒有什么相干呢？上帝的殿与偶像怎能相提并论呢？因为我们就是永活上帝的殿，正如上帝说：“我要住在他们中间，在他们当中往来；我要做他们的上帝，他们要做我的子民。”又说：“所以，你们要从他们中间出来，离开他们，不要沾染污秽之物，我就接纳你们。

如果有人看见你这明白以上道理的人竟然坐在偶像的庙中吃喝，他虽然良心不安，岂不还是会放胆吃献给偶像的祭物吗？
